Are you going to log-in to VMK on the LAST day?

Sad as it will be I am going to walk the entire Kingdom and visit with friends for the last time . I expect a lot of tears from me at least but I want to "die" with my friends. Still can't believe this is happening to us, so very sad...my heart is heavy now, I wish Disney would reconsider this decision seems like our last day will be filled with sadness, not what Walt would have wanted I am sure. I guess it is all business now for Disney, not about the kids or the fun or the magic. Still is seems so, so wrong....

As big a part VMK has been in my life for the past year, chances are I will not sign in on the last day. I've been playing a lot less than I used to, and I've been getting back to "real" life. I know that if I sign in on that last day, that whole rush of sadness will return. I'm trying to stay levelheaded at this point because for a while I couldn't stop thinking about the "death" of Ninja. I'll probably sign on every single day for the days beforehand, but that last day may be too much.

Capecad and I (CapeGirl) sadly will not be logged onto VMK on the last day/night because we'll be in Disney World, and we've decided to not take our laptops with us. (Thanks to those of you who live there and offered us your home computers to use!)

As much as we would've loved to be online with so many of our VMK/DIS friends that evening, we'll instead be enjoying a nice dinner at Jiko, then returning to our resort (the Polynesian) to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks, and then heading over to Disney Studios for EMH. That's where we'll be when the clock strikes 1am and VMK closes for good. Very bitter-sweet.

Fortunately, we do have plans to spend time during this trip with some very special people that we've met through VMK, so even though we won't be online on the last day, we'll still be enjoying a lot of what made VMK so special - the PEOPLE!

I do not intend to go anywhere near VMK on closing day and have already informed my friends of that. I honestly don't think I can bear it. Even writing about it is hard.

I expect my last visit will be sometime during the previous weekend. I will say my farewells during that time, visit rooms, and take some final pictures. Then, PinokeFan will walk to the Esplanade, wave good-bye, and just leave VMK for good. That way, he won't even be there on May 21 for the Virtual Mass Killing -- at least not in my mind.

I think I'll say my goodbyes on the 20th, and try to maybe log in on the 21st. Goodness, I thought I was fine... but now that I think about it and it's so close... I'm ready to start crying here and now and its still 10 days away.
