Are you Excited about the future of Universal/IOA?

I'm very excited about the direction Universal is headed! With two children with very different tastes and experiences, I think UO offers so much to keep everyone happy. I especially love how we can take a relaxed pace and not have to plan every minute of our day. We've been going off and on (switching with Disney) since 2004, but have in the past couple of years exclusively stuck with UO. We bought APs last year and have definitely gotten our money's worth. We just returned from a quick 4 day stay, and I am so impressed with how quickly everything is coming up. This was our 4th visit this year, and can't believe the progress! Even with the construction walls, the parks look great and are super fun!

I don't want to date myself or anything, but our first trip to Universal was when there was just the Studios and Nickelodeon was the big, big deal going on. A couple years later we visited when the hotels and Islands was under construction (Islands might have been open while the hotels were being built, not real sure about that). Looking back to those times, it is incredible how much in such a relatively short time the place has changed, how the parks experience has grown and improved. Somewhere along the line it became, and will remain, our favorite Orlando destination.

I'm sort of excited. I remember the good old nick days :) I'm not a fan of alot being the 3d. Simpson makes me sick as well as Harry potter. I want more shows and a mix of rides that everybody can ride.

(still pouting over getting rid of the ghostbusters..)

So am I!!! I also miss King Kong.

We've just started planning an extended Florida trip for 2014 - 5 days at Disney and 4 in Orlando. We were at US/IOA for one day last year and we definitely need more time this time!

Am I excited about anything new at US/IOA? I'm excited about everything! Admittedly I'm a HUGE HP fan... But I'm also a fan about tons of the other rides/attractions at both parks! We were last there in 2010 when our son graduated from high school and we celebrated our 20th anniversary. I'm now excited about planning a trip back for our family of 4 next September when our son will graduate from college and we will get to experience the new Diagon Alley part of US. I just don't get why anyone complains about new features. Just don't go if you're not thrilled. It's an amusement park with thrill rides and adventure rides. Either enjoy or stay home! ;) Been a few years but good to see Metrowest and Damo are still around!
