Are you Cancelling Bomas or Jiko due to construction?

I cancelled both a Boma and a Jiko reservation for mid-August yesterday and had no problems changing to Kona and Narcossees at the same times. We had to move from AKL, and it would be too depressing to visit the resort. I'm scared that we'd think "hey, the construction isn't so bad after all" and regret moving.

I'll be dining at Boma for the 1st time on the 23rd and am not canceling. Been looking forawrd too it for way to long.

We'll be there for dinner on Aug. 24. We've never been and certainly have no plans to cancel. We're excited about this one, I can't wait for potatoes with afritude and zebra domes. Can someone tell me where to view the animals? We've never been to AKL.

Boma was one of our favourites last year! We've got two adr's during free dining and i wouldn't consider cancelling! We're really looking forward to eating there again!

We have ADRs for breakfast at Boma and dinner at Jiko. I have no intention of cancelling. We love the breakfast buffet at Boma and missed out on Jiko last trip so don't want to miss it.

After reading numerous threads on all the cancelled
ressies at AKL....

I called AKL this morning....I was worried about my dinner ressies....
I'm going to Boma and Jiko during free dining....I was worried I wouldn't
be able to get another ADR if the lodge is closed.....

while the CM couldn't comment on everyone moving
She did say the restaurants will definately be OPEN....
I hope she is right.

I have an ADR for Boma on August 11 and I'm going to keep it. I'm disappointed about the construction and hope the animals will still be there but I still really wanted to try the food.

i just cancelled the GF Cafe and got Jiko for Sept 9. I also have my Sept 7 ADRs at Boma. I'm excited about both!

i didn't realize jiko was 2 TS credits.

i have to cancel that ADR. i wonder why the CM didn't ask if i was on the plan. i didn't even think about telling her.

that stinks... especially after being on hold for that long.

Just made a dinner ressie for Boma-early Aug. I kept reading about it, and am so glad I was able to get a spot.

My DW and I are not going until December so we are not cancelling our Boma ADR. We are booked to stay one night at the new DVC studios that same night so I am assuming that the construction will be completed by that time.
