The 70th Anniversary DVD of Pinocchio comes out tomorrow. Are you all going to buy it? I thought I already had it in my collection, but I could only find the version in Beta ... yeah ... I'm that old.

I'm still on the fence whether to buy the Blu-Ray version even though I don't have a Blu-Ray player yet. I just wonder if there will be a new technology soon anyway.

Already own it on DVD, and despite having a blu ray player, I'm yet to own a single disc :lmao:

:goodvibes

We're getting it on Blu-Ray. I didnt get it on DVD the first time it was out and the Blu-Ray version comes with the extra Digital copy so that I can dowload it to my iPhone. :thumbsup2

I voted bluray but not until it is available via the Disney Movie Club.

Yup! I haven't seen this movie in awhile - I'm excited to watch it again. I'll be picking up the Blu-Ray.

I think we should probably buy it in Bluray. We don't have a player yet, but I feel like we are wasting money now buying regular DVDs.

And like George we will wait for the Disney Movie Club. We are hoping for a good double feature.

Yeppers...regular DVD for us tomorrow...$15.99 at Giant Eagle PLUS free 24 pack of water. Not sure how the water promo ties in but I am going for it. I don't think I will find a better deal than that.

Absolutely !

Blu-Ray for us.

Best Buy is offering a free '3-D Mug' with purchase while supplies last.

The case of water is better than a jar of whale blubber, eh?

I saw that also in the GE flyer. It seemed very odd to me.:confused3

Maybe its my warped mind. I am assuming that Giant Eagle is a grocery store? If so, to me it makes sense.
Meijer, a regional one-stop retailer, often ties in promotional items with new releases. Some movies its easy to find an appropriate item. Example: Buy 101 Dalmatians, get a box of dog treats free. Buy The Jungle Book, get three pounds of bananas free.
Pinocchio is just a bit more obscure. To me the thing that I remember most about the movie is being in the whale, in the sea. As a youngster, it was terrifying. From what I can recall, that is also the 'ah-ha' moment for Pinocchio. The water ties in heavily with that, as far as merchandising goes. Seeing as how whale blubber is illegal to import into the US and giving away 'big boy' pants could be misconstrued, water is about the only thing left, unless they have some extra pine stumps out back....

I bought the Blu-Ray version myself it also comes with the standard DVD in the box so you can have the best of both worlds.

I will be buying it when it comes out through the Disney Movie club :)

Nope. I have no Blu-Ray player, and I'm not going to invest in regular DVDs anymore.

Hologram it is.
