Are you and your SO in agreement regarding your hotel choices?

So far. We both love CBR after staying there on our honeymoon, so we both agreed that was where we were staying on this last trip.

We both agree that we didn't care for ASMusic, although DH said he would stay at ASSports. Maybe the fact that he's a Mets fanatic has something to do with that. I told him that if he didn't like ASM, that he probably wouldn't like ASSports so forget it. :lmao:

We both agree that we would like to try the Poly sometime.

We haven't been to the Beach Club yet, so I don't know how either of us will like it.

The only thing we don't agree on was that I would like to try Pop and he said no. If a really good deal came around and we couldn't afford a mod or deluxe, I bet I could talk him into it though.

Good Morning Everyone:

The decision as to what resort we are staying is basically up to me. I could book a deluxe room in a cardboard box along buena vista drive and my husband could care less- ha!! Unfortunately my husband doesn't even know how to book a trip let along pick a resort. I tell him "honey we are staying at CSR for our upcoming trip". He replies "ok that is fine with me."

Your typical man- geez!!!!!

For the most part, DH and I are in agreement. The only times we disagree are those years when we want to stay at a "DTD" DVC; he prefers SSR, I prefer OKW, so we alternate. Neither of us really dislike any resort ('cause they're all in WDW! :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: ).

Now? Pretty much 100% of the time we agree (witness we are AKV DVC members...that makes it a little easier).

In the past? We've had some discussions about which all star we'd prefer (She prefers music, I prefer Movies) to stay at. We once debated whether we were going to do the BWI or the BC...but we were both back and forth on that one (ultimately we chose the BWI...and did the BC about 3 months later).

Hmm...

I am the planning nut...My SO not so much.

I need to research and all that (it usually doesn't work out totally the way I want it to, but over planning can be worse than under-planing)

Last year it was the value resorts (All Star Music), which my SO nicked named the "Holiday Inn with Maracas". I thought it was ok

This year its Coronado Springs, with both of our family's to boot.

so we will see how well it gos over with everyone :)

The only resort my DH ever said he wanted to stay at was the WL. He loved it. We stay at a different Resort every trip so he feels like it is a different vacation:rotfl:

It's actually kind of funny. DH likes to pretend like I'm the picky one, and he's an every day kind of guy and easy going about hotels. What he won't admit out loud is that after so many times of my finding great places to stay (and finding great deals!) and after he's stayed at some gorgeous hotels on the company dime, he IS a hotel snob. He will also pretend to be cheap, but will always choose paying more for luxury over budget. He's just a sucker for contemporary and plush.

For instance, I thought POFQ was great! He said it was "fine" but it "has those cheesy, cheap nylon feeling hotel bedspreads", and he didn't like that the door opened to the outside, or there not being a nice sit down place, and the bathrooms were too small. Yadda Yadda Yadda. I just smirked a little. He trusted me last time and went to POP since it was only 3 nights, but he haaaated it. He didn't complain during, but afterwards said, "never again." Though happily we agree on that one. He also didn't like the Poly (just a visit, not a stay) b/c he said it looked like something from the 60's The Brady's do Hawaii.

So this time instead of fretting over balancing budget with preference, I just plopped down in front of him 3 options with their prices: POFQ, WL or CR. He chose WL. I was not shocked -- but I know what he's going to end up saying about those bedspreads ;) If he had his way, they'd have the new CR rooms but with the WL common areas/exterior. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't agree. :thumbsup2
