If your team is dropping out- then I suppose you could- but you do realize that if you registered and were accepted and now dropping out- that someone else got declined because of the competition being full and that wouldn't be fair to others.

If your team doesn't want to drop out and you are just one member- you are obligated to at least have a room that the ride can go through that is titled the same as whatever was registered- this may mean just placing a straight slide through and exisiting room you have so that the rest of your team is not left hanging- that is the least you can do...

basically I suppose before you registered with a team or your team you should have decided if this was something you wanted to do.
