Are you allowed to use more Child credits than in your party?

My family of 2 A, 2 C has always gotten the DxDDP and we love it, but this year my oldest daughter has turned 10 and therefore the cost for her skyrockets!!! We do mostly signature dining and she is actually very excited about being able to order off the regular menu and trying new things. But there is NO WAY she will be able to eat all that food!

I worked out an estimation of our food costs and it works out to be about $310/day, which is $35/day less than the cost of the DxDDP. I am debating whether it is worth it to just go ahead with the DxDDP so we can go ahead and have our after-dinner lattes, Venti Frappuccinos from Starbucks and desserts after every meal, for everyone instead of sharing. Things we wouldn't do if we weren't on the plan.

If we go with the plan, we would likely save my youngest daughter's Child credits when we do TS meals and have her share with her sister. I thought maybe we could use those credits to purchase breakfasts. I know that you can't order more adult CS meals than is in your party (obviously to prevent people from using child credits to purchase adult meals), but would they allow me to order more than 1 children's meal at a time even though there is only 1 child in my party? Has anyone tried this? For example, would they let me purchase 4 kids meals, clearly with the intent that the adults would be eating these meals?

There are no designated child's credits on the deluxe dining plan. But if you have one child listed on your key card, per Disney's rules you will be able to buy one child's meal per transaction. But, ask if they will allow you to order children's meals for the adults. Trading them down is not the same as trading them up.

Not going to go into any other way to use them, as it's the policy on this board to not allow discussion of using the credits purchased for the child in any way outside the way Disney intended them to be used (ordering from the children's menu).
