Are you a secret snob?

This thread is cracking me up. I guess I am a snob and just never knew it. Here's my list:

Sunglasses - I will never own cheap sunglasses. I hate the way they feel.

Food - No generic brands for me. Once I bought the generic cereal in the bag - gross. It tasted completely different.

I used to be a clothes snob - only Ralph Lauren or CK jeans, but since I've gained some weight, I'm not too picky anymore. I hate the way I look so why spend the money.

I only buy Stride Rite shoes for my daughter, but it is only b/c she has a wide foot and most shoes hurt her feet.

As for Disney, I will never stay off property. I would rather go every other year and save more for on property than go every year and stay off.

This is just me, I have no problems with whatever other people do. To each his own.

I'm a Disney on-site snob - BIG TIME!!!!!

I also am a "keep your house up" snob - houses cost a lot of money - people should take care of them.

I guess I'm a snob about my appearance. I don't have to be dressed in designer clothes - even jeans, sweatshirt & sneakers are fine, as long asthey are clean & I am clean & presentable. I actually have to say I wonder about people that go out in public in clothes that I would throw in the rag pile - YUCK - so I guess that makes me a real snob!

Oh my, you poor deprived people. :sad2: No Hellmann's...my heart breaks for you...I hope it is under a different name otherwise...tsk tsk tsk!

Does this mean there are people that actually buy their knickers in places other than Vickie's (Vic Secrets) or Freddie's (of Hollywood)?! It's too much...I think I have to go lie down now. The humanity!! :faint:

Nope, I am not a secret snob. It's no secret!

I hate to admit this since it will obviously cause you great pain but... I buy my bras at Wal Mart!!!! Shocking, I know. As for panties, well I haven't needed to buy any new ones in a few years. It's a long story but at one time I counted and had more than 150. I've eliminated a lot but probably still have close to 100.

As for Hellman's, when I live in NY, I noticed that the commercials, labeling and jingle for that brand are exactly the same as for Best Foods her in Oregon - except for the actual brand name.

LOL ~ I buy my bras at "Limited Too"!! When you're a size 4-6 with tiny ****s, ya can't beat the price!

I'm also a runner so often find warm ups and running gear there, too!

Are you crazy?? I would never spend that much money on a purse! I do have an Eddie Bauer diaper bag (which is my purse BTW), but it was a gift. Seriously the only vice I truly have is my knickers, and while my girls are decked out in name brand it is strictly because I haunt the clearance racks and ebay LOL. I have no shame in using last years styles. If someone came to my house it is strictly average, clean and well...normal. I haven't had new furniture in about 6 years and my mom gave us that LOL. I think I would be lumped with the rest of the poor people that use savings, coupons, rebates, sales, and layway to get by.

I am a clothes snob. I only wear Talbots, Ann Taylor, Lilly Pulitzer, and a couple of other labels. Of course, I only buy my clothes at Goodwill, Ebay and the consignment store, and I don't spend more than $5.99 for any item:earseek: Does that make me a thrifty snob or a label snob?

I cannot even imagine paying that much for a purse. A friend has a set of LV luggage given to her by her now former MIL. She, my friend, is a single mom trying to go to college so the LV bags will likely be listed on eBay soon... if she can figure out how best to list them and get her a fair price. I know almost nothing about such high end items so told her that I would be uncomfortable trying to set a price or describe them correctly. Just the thought of trying to do so caused me stress. ;)

Perhaps a practical snob? :)

I can't stand misspellings and poor grammar.

My DH is a snob on glasses (only certain kinds will do ), ketchup, certain items in a restaurant, and certain types of coffee.

I'm a purse snob, but again like Blondie I don't care what others have as long as I have something nice. I want a Louis Vuitton so bad right now I can taste it!

I went into a TJ Max and more yesterday and had to run back OUT of the store to keep from buying a Dooney for 99 bucks that still had the 300 dollar tag on it.

I don't think I'm a Disney Snob, if I get to go at least twice a year I'm happy :teeth:

I'm not a clothing snob at all, I'm afraid if I ever got skinny though I'd be dangerous.

DH is a snob with his Carhart jeans. Thats all he will wear for work.

Hes also a Mayo and Mustart Snob, has to be Blue Plate and Frenchs.

I even bought the cheap mustard once and poured it into the French's bottle to see if he would notice and honestly HE DID!

I'm not really a brand snob.. I like nice things, and will not hesitate to spend money on a quality item, or something I really love, but I'm also practical. I would love a Louis Vuitton purse, but can't bring myself to spend it on ONE item. I would much rather buy a Kate Spade bag, a Coach bag, and a Dooney and Bourke and have three for the price of one. Still nice purses, same amount of money.

But my best friend at work bought me a sticker last week that says, "I'm not a snob, I'm just better than you are." I think that in my quest to "not be that girl" I come across as a snob sometimes. Such as "don't be that girl that has on black hose and white shoes" or "don't be that girl wearing tapered leg jeans" or "don't be that girl with dark roots" because I wouldn't want other women to judge me...like we ALL do!

Christmas Tree Snob. I will never allow a fake tree in my home!!!!

I was a Christmas Tree snob (cutting down a real one every year)... til I moved to FL last year... and found out that in FL, trees are... A. Expensive, B. Terrible Looking, C. Infested with bugs, as they never got cold enough to kill what was living in them. I had to break down and buy a high-quality artificial one, though it took every fiber of my being to do it. (And I am a Christmas FANATIC.)

As for my snobberies...
Mayo - Miracle Whip Light
Hair Products - Aquage
What I WON'T buy if I can help it... ANYTHING MADE IN CHINA (or anywhere else but the USA)

I will not set foot in Wal Mart or K Mart, but love Target.
I only wear Victoria underwear
We only drink Pepsi, no other cola will do
We are total Disney snobs and love our DVC resorts

I hate the toenail thing too. My kids hate to see me coming if I have the clippers in hand! The kids have an old toothbrush in the bathtub for their nails.
How 'bout when women let their toenails grow real long then shape and paint them as if they were fingernails? I hate that too.

Amen, Sistah! What is with the french pedicures with long toenails.....I know people pay $$ for that, but pu---lease, I do not want to see your toes looking like little stubby fingers! Cut the nails, chose a nice color, or just keep the toes trimmed and clean!

Some of these are great! As I type in my Sam's Club shorts, my department store undies, and my $14.95 Wal-Mart haircut, I'm LOL!

But my yard is very tidy!! :teeth:
