Sounds like the same thing. Do you get the credit reports automatically or do you have to request them?

There automatically sent every 3 months. Great for the piece of mind!!!

ack!! I just got off the Chase website and it does say that they can increase your APR for late payment ANY bill. It also says that even though you call for the 0% deal for a year if your credit score is not high enough they can put you on a different program for 0% for only 3 months!! They also say once you apply you cannot cancel!! Oh no what have I done!!!!!! I am sooo upset with myself for not reading ALL of the fine print. What am I supposed to do now?

All you have done is applied for a card, right? If they don't give you the year, just don't use the card once it comes (for the transfers).

from what I understand they will do the balance transfers. I gave them info on both accounts!! Oh well I was hoping to use tax refund for something else but if worse comes to worse I'll just have to pay it off as fast as I can!!

This is a great thread. I am also a "deadbeat" for the last 20+ years. I use cc for all transactions I can, only to my benefit. I can remember when almost all cards had an annual fee. Now I use them for convenience and record keeping and some security. I have a Discover for "cash back" that I used to use all the time. But now my DH and I each have a MBNA MC in each child's name. These are 529 acct cards (tax free college savings acct). They match 2% of all purchases. Great deal. Unfortunately, my card is in my DD9's name and she has accrued much more than my DS who is on my DH's card!!! I would put my mortgage and my taxes on it if I could. I guess my DD will be going to a better school than my DS! Just kidding! :hourglass
