I read the other day on a thread that Kona will make their infamous Tonga Toast with strawberries instead of bananas if you like. Does anyone know if this is true?? I would imagine that something like this would be "pre-assembled" but since WDW is so accomodating to allergies, etc. that maybe they would substitute for the bananas. If this info is correct, has anyone tried it and is it good?? Thanks for any unput.

I would love to know if I can get it without any fruit. If you find out that they make it with either fruit then I might have a chance. I will have to ask when I go back in October.

I think you'll find that the Tonga Toast at Kona is prepared with bananas. Please give it a shot, it's delicious. :earsboy:

If you are not one who likes bananas and I am one of those, you could just push the bananas aside. It's not like the item is loaded with bananas. But if there is an allergy involved, then I would avoid it. princess:

I am sure the traditional Tonga Toast is delicious, but what if someone cannot have bananas, due to an allergy, for instance. Will Kona prepare this with a different type of fruit, or is the base of this dish pre-assembled rather than made to order?? :confused3
