Are Wildlife Express and Millionaire--worth going to?

Reading in my 'unoffical guide to WDW', the author gives the train ride 'Wildlife express' in the AK a 'Ho Hum' rating, but a friend told me today that she really enjoyed it. Also when reading about 'Who wants to be a Millionaire' in DS, it just doesn't sound that interesting to me either---I'm sure if you or someone you knew got in the 'hot seat' it would be fun--but I can't imagine wasting my time on this one.

So please tell me what you think about both of these attractions?

i went on who wants to be a millonair. it was a dud. next time i will not waste my time on that.

I go the other way---- I love WWTBAM at MGM. I think I could spend 1/2 a day trying to get into the hot seat-- maybe I'm too competitive  . But with everything, I think it all boils down to a matter of preference. I think most everything deserves 1 chance, because so many things are suprisingly enjoyable at WDW. No I haven't done the train ride-- I keep skipping it, but it is at the top of my list for my next AK trip.

I went to who wants to be a millionaire in 2002 and I thought it was one of the top shows at MGM

Yes, the 'Wildlife Express' is a bit Ho Hum, but it's the only way to get to the Conservation Station or whatever they call it now, which is well worth a visit.

WWTBAM - definitely worth trying at least once each trip! Don't go thinking you are going to get in the hot seat, maybe you will get lucky, but just fun to see if you are able to answer the questions. It is also a nice break to sit and relax for a while between thrill rides like TOT and RnRrC.

Wildlife Express - we didn't always do this, but we actually liked doing it after we gave it a chance! The train ride itself is just a view of some of the behind the scenes spots, but the destination is fun too. There is a small petting "zoo" with farm animals, generally we have seen a character inside the building there (Pocahantas and Rafiki for example), we also have heard a talk about ferrets with a live ferret. This is not necessarily a "thrill" type attraction, but it is a nice, relaxing stop. With kids we do the little booklet that has stations where you learn something and then get a stamp, so going to Conservation Station is a must. The CMs that we have encountered at these stations have been some of the nicest, funniest CMs we have encountered! In Dec, the two young men working at the stop on the way to Conservation Station were so fun, I'm glad we didn't miss it!

I look at both of these as not the most "thrilling" attractions, but I continue to enjoy them, and would miss them if we skipped them!

Try them both at least once.

However, I think I'm going to pass on WWTBM. I didn't enjoy it as much as others do.

Conservation Station is the thing my family likes least at WDW!

We love Millionaire and did it twice. We actually skipped AK last trip but we have done the train and conserv. station before and found it worthwhile. It reminded us of a more "zoo-like" experience. We did it when our son was younger and loved the train.

Okay, our last trip myself, my oldest son (24), and daughter (17) did Millionaire 8 (yes that is EIGHT) times. Each time we were all three in the top 10. Our competitive natures made us keep at it (yes, it is a hereditary trait). My husband and younger son (21) couldn't care less and spent the two days (it took two days to play 8 times) touring the other parks. In short, we ALL had a blast. It just depends on your personality. But just like EVERYTHING at Disney, try it once.......twice if you like it (or as in our case, 8 times!)

wwtbam. Depends on your travel party. 5 year old loved it, and 2 1/2 year fell asleep. Stood in line and the CM told us that in our location in the line, we weren't guaranteed seating for the next show. Quite discomforting on a hot day, but we got in. Once we were seated, time flew by. Sometimes the cameras in the show would do a close up on someone in the audience, which can be funny. Cute boy in a Stitch hat, boy was he embarrassed. I think you should try it at least once.

I've never done WWTBAM, but we did take the Wildlife Express. DS then 2 is a train freak, so he loved it. It was a nice relaxing ride. DS and DD then 5 loved the petting zoo at Conservation Station, but they were a little young for the whole conservation message. We will probably do it again our next trip.

I Love WWTBAM, so much that on one of my recent solo trips, I spent almost two days at MGM and did almost nothing but that show. That was an extreme, but on most trips I do it at least two or three times.

I also enjoy Conservation Station - I have seen several operations going on and found that fascinating. The train ride itself is relaxing and enjoyable - certainly nothing incredible.

I was planning to skip both of these as it will be just DD (then 3) and I next trip, we didn't find time to fit them in last trip either. Maybe I should reconsider?

We LOVE Millionaire.

This trip, we're only do one day of Disney and hitting our fave attractions, and DH says that is a must do for us =) FUN FUN! (and its AIR CONDITIONED and you have a SEAT!!!!! Priceless in the summer!!!!!!!!)

Didnt spend enough time at AK to check that one out.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED WWTBAM!!! You've got to try it al least once! (ALthough, once we go to it once, we want to do it over and over and over!)

Definitely go to the conservation station if for no other reason than for the rainforest sound show thing. That's probably one of my favorite things to do in AK (I know it sounds weird). Basically you go into this little dark room and put on headphones. You hit the start button and the lights dim and you hear this really cool sound show. It totally sounds like a monkey is sitting right behind you. It's a lot better than Sounds Dangerous at MGM. Just my opinion anyway.
