Are We Wrong?

I just get a little worried....we have a trip planned on 9/11 - 9/18 at the Fort and no trailer yet..........and it doesn't help that I am personally in love w/ Passports.
Not sure where in FL you live or what you think of Lazydays...but they have a pretty big selection of Passports at their facility in Seffner. I know they are new TT's, but from your posts here on "Mr. How Dare You Ask Me To Show You My Trailer"'s used unit, for a little more money you might make a deal on a new one with a warranty. My Dad has had good luck buying two motorhomes from Lazydays, so might be worth checking out....although LD's also has their share of detractors! Anyways, I agree the Passports looks like nice trailers.

If you're buying from Wal-Mart or a dealer you have the option of taking it back and a warranty, big difference.

Dave, we lived about 15 minutes from Lazy Days and have looked there....and LOVE the Passports they have (plus the sales person from there has been awesome). IF we bought new, we would be able to get exactly what we want...a quad bunk (we would get a 290 instead of a 280 if we buy new)...w/ 3 kiddos the quad bunk would be more ideal. We were just hoping to save a bit and buy used.

Lazy Days has been wonderful to us so far, so who knows, maybe this will push us over the edge enough to go get the new one and be done w/ it:banana:

You are far more patient people than I could ever be with this loser. I give you kuddos for even emailing him back. He obviously thinks he has something someone wants. I just hope it is not you! ;)

What a jerk! Sounds like he is cohoots with the insurance adjuster I dealt with.

I wanted to buy a lawnmower from Wally World and they sent Daryl, the guy on TV who cuts the prices, over. He set it up for me and mowed my lawn, but I decided to buy one at Kmart.

You also may wish to drive a little further east on I-4 to Long View RV & see if they carry the Passport. Tell them what L.D. is pricing them for & see if they can do any better. My DH worked for Long View when they first opened, and they would lose money to win a sale from Lazy Days. Also - Bates R.V. in Seffner has some used units on their lot, as does Dusty's Camper World in Bartow. You have a lot of dealer options in the area, so do a little driving and take advantage of them. There are 3-4 RV dealers along S.R. 50 in Winter Garden. To save a couple of thousand $$'s, it might be worth a ride - or at least a phone call. Lazy Days isn't the only dealer around.

Another dealer I have had good success with is Como RV in Homossasa/Inverness. I bought my new starcraft there and actually delt with the owner Rick Como. Nice smaller family business

Thanks everyone for the tips! According to Keystone's website, Lazydays and Suncoast RV are the only 2 dealers around that sell new Passports. I checked the online prices and Suncoast more expensive on their listing price than Lazydays. Not sure if that means they have more room to take off but they probably would be close and with Lazydays being so close, we would probably just get it there.

Dusty's has a Keystone Bullet we like too. But it has a higher listing price over the Passport. I try to check the dealer websites daily to see if any new used trailers have come in

I didn't know about this dealer. Thanks! We looked at their website last night to see what they had.

BTW, the seller did email us back yesterday and said he would bring the trailer to his house w/out charging. We thought about it but in the end nicely told him thanks but no thanks. My dh said he didn't want to deal w/ him after all this.

Longtime lurker, first post -
This guy amazed me. His TT was in good shape and he did buy good parts for it; Optima battery and Goodyear tires. Something didn't feel right during the first visit, thus why we had the other TT inspected first. That one didn't work out as he wouldn't repair or bring down the price so I could take care of the issues.
So he wanted to charge for the setup, then said if we get there within 24 hours, he may not charge us. Next was get here by week's end for no charge. After the Walmart comment, we couldn't do business in a hostile environment. We'll likely buy new as the saleman has been very patient with two visits with the entire clan testing units out.
