Are we crazy?

Dh and I are thinking about doing the 11 day Mediteranian cruise in 07... but we will have a 1 year old by then. Our thought was to book a 2 bedroom suite and take my parents with us... It ends up being only about $300 per day per adult, which is cheaper than we can do Disney anyway, and it includes room and food and fantastic desinations.

But is taking a 1 year old nuts? Even with four adults?

ETA: I think I may have just realized you guys were saying it they are gone already. So revamp the question... for a normal disney cruise.

No, you're not crazy. You're rich. Seriously, I think at that age is when kids are at their easiest. Plus they have the Flounder's Reef nursery when you want some alone time.

no you're not crazy!!! We cruised with a one year old - it was fine. The only problem we had was the shows - DH had to take her out in the hallway (he was never alone, there was always at least one other dad!!!), she did not care for the dark and loud noise. He was willing to do that for me, because the shows were one thing I was really looking forward to (later that evening I would spend time in the cabin with her while he hit the casino).

With four adults, you will have it even easier. I agree that this is an easy age. We took a few years off after that. I still remember one dad on that cruise stating how easy it had been with his first son when he was little - and with the baby they now had - but now that son number one was a toddler, it was a completly different story "never again with a toddler, never again" he said!!!

Plus - as already stated - you have Flounders - on RCI we only had the option of in room sitting, and I wasn't comfortable with that.

Lol, nope not rich... we'd end up clearing out the savings probably.

Good to know that it is a lot easier thanthe next summer would be! It would be nice to have a last good vacation for a while.
