Are we Crazy-No Palo

It took us until cruise #5 to get to Palo. We loved dinner there. We are booking it for December as well. Having said that I don't regret missing it on the other cruises as we really enjoyed the regular menus and our servers.

We had dinner at Palo on our second Magic cruise.
We didn't go back on our Wonder cruise.

We just weren't all that impressed. Yes, the food was good and the service was wonderful, but we felt that way about the regular rotation restaurants too. The view at Palo would have been beautiful, but it was dark. And I was feeling just a wee bit of motion sickness so that didn't help either. We had a brunch reservation but ended up cancelling it. Too many other things we wanted to do.

The $10 is not a charge for the food. It is a tip for the servers. We add additional tip to that as the service is super and $20 tip for a meal of that caliber does not seen sufficient to us.
It is interesting reading this thread. With one execption, those who have gone say "do not miss it", and those who have never tried it say "don't bother."

I didn't get to go the first trip since my daughter was 2 1/2 and hated flounders but this past trip she loved the club so I had a lot of free time and we did the brunch at Palo and LOVED it! It is a must do on our May cruise next year! I want to go there for dinner this time around too, we actually couldn't get dinner ressies on our last cruise, we went on the waiting list but never got called....I am hoping my daughter likes the club again and I can do Tea this time around too. I would have booked them all first day if I knew she would like the club! I ended up doing spa treatments every day, hanging in the rainforest room and spa and doing an art of cooking thing!

We ate at Palo's on the Wonder this year.It is Ok.......but not worth the $40(2 people+tip) it would cost to eat there when you can have just about the same service and food at the other restraunts with no charge.

My Hubby and I have been on 5 Disney cruise and have never eaten Dinner at Palo's. We have had ressies twice and cancelled twice. I do however LOVE the Brunch in Palo's. It is not to be missed, of course my hubby doesn't eat anything when we go because he too is a picky eater. I can't imagine since I will try anything ( ALMOST) once. If they would just add steak at Palo's for Hubby we would be set!!!

For our first three cruises, we didn't know what the hype about Palo was, but then...... we discovered paradise! We like the brunch so we don't miss the dinner rotations with our servers, but the food and selection is the best at Palo's. not to be missed! They have to roll us out of there! My favorites: the pasta with shrimp and broccoli, parmesean, and dark chocolate cups filled with coffee mousse. And those thin delicious mushroom pizzas- heavenly!
