Cast:
princess: Me (Summer) - Mommy to Jacques. Trip #4 for me. Past trips include my big first trip (July 1997, MK, Epcot, MGM), a one-day trip to Epcot in 2000, and a one-day trip to MK in 1999.
pirate: Nic - Daddy to Jacques. Trip #2 for him.
:stitch: Jacques - Adorable little baby boy. Currently 4 months, but will be 9 months while we're there. He's Stitch, because he currently eats everything he can get his hands on! This'll be his first trip.

The first day, we'll probably just lay-low and hang out at the hotel. Then, we'll spend one day each at MK, Epcot, MGM, and AK, with AK being the last day, probably. Then, a late dinner that night with my Dad. The weekends we'll spend with my dad. We might do a last day before we go to the airport on the day we leave.

Coming Up Next:
What parks when, and where to eat.

OMG Jacques is absolutely gorgeous, so so adoreable, you must be one proud mummy. I hope you all have a fab time, cant wait to hear more about your trip, I'm sure Jacque's will love it and you will have lifelong memories of him being there (and some gorgeous pictures too).

Cant wait to hear about which restaurants you choose.

Aw, thank you! I am definatly a proud mom! I really do hope he enjoys it!

I know! And we're already under the 180-day ADR window! :scared1:

Grand Rapids, MI! That's my HOMETOWN! WAHOO!!! :) :) I miss it so! I now live with DH (when he's home again..) at Fort Bragg, NC! Count me in! :)

Aw, sweet! Did you go to HS here? I'd rather be in NC right now. The weather's gotta be better there! My mom's best friend is from here, and moved to NC, also. But, she's in Cary.

Glad to see another person joining! Yay! :cheer2:

Some Plan Changes

Well, we've got a few plan changes. I called my Dad, who lives in Tampa to get his opinion on everything. Here's what he said:

  • He'll pay for gas
  • He'll take the week off
  • He'll let us stay with him
  • He'll pick us up from the airport
  • He'll drive us to and from Disney every day
  • He'll buy our park passes
  • He'll take care of food
  • He'll watch Jacques for a little while, while we have our own time too

So, we're looking at a change of plans.

We're thinking we'll do that, but, use our 30% off pass and spend a night or two at the Polynesian!!! :dance3:

I've always dreamed of staying there, and now we might get to!!

We told Jacques we're going to Disney tomorrow. He laughed and made some noises and blew some raspberries at us. I think he's excited! :goodvibes

To get him prepared, we're going to have Disney movie nights every weekend until the trip!

We're also going to go to the Disney store and get him some Disney clothes he'll fit into then.

I also have to look into something special for Nic and I on our night we spend in the Polynesian. Maybe a basket or something? Our plan is to do this for an anniversary trip, so we'll have to get buttons!

What else special can we do?

Give me all your best Disney-with-a-baby tips!

Also, if anyone knows much about flying with a 9-month-old, that'd be cool if I could hear what you know!

Oh your Dad sounds so genorous, and the changes of plans sound like looks of good benefits. I think the Poly is a really good choice, we visited there last time and fell in love with it so are spending a night there this time... I absolutely can't wait. The gift baskets you can get look really good, I know Disney also do private dining, they have special places around the Grand Floridian where you can have a private meal which sounds really nice and romantic. Or how about a chocolate Mickey, they look really yummy.

Nope, just kidding!

I guess we're going back to staying at Pop, as opposed to my Dad's in Tampa. But, he'll be joining us at the Pop, probably.

We've made a room-only ressie through DUT. We haven't put down our deposit yet, but we'll be doing that this weekend. We also had her note out anniversary on our ressie. I want those buttons!

We'll also have her try and make an ADR at Le Cellier for a meal (any night she can get it!).

As far as other ADRs, we might make an ADR at a nicer place for dinner on MK night, and maybe one somewhere at MGM. The other two nights, we'll probably just wing it. (Crazy, I know!) I think it just is easier with DS if we have some flexibility.

Now, we can't use a day on our tickets for TL or BB, right? I don't think so, but I figured I'd check with anyone that knows.

We're looking into getting some guidebooks from the library, but buying the Passporter to keep as a souvenir. That, or this other book I found that I like.

As a suprise for DS and Nic, I'm going to buy lanyards and a few pins. I know DS is really little to be pin trading, but I figure, if I get him started early, when he gets older, he'll have some cool pins from his first trip! I think I'll collect princess, DS can collect some pirate stuff, and Nic will collect penguins.

What else should I get before we go? I already got a Baggallini!

To Do:

  • Get Pins
  • Put Down Deposit
  • Get DS some clothes
  • Get DS a cute suitcase

Sounds like you are all well on your way! I am so excited for you and anxious to hear how the trip goes with the little one. He is so beautiful!

I would definitely check out the Disney florist to see what they have to offer. My MOH got us this basket for our honeymoon, and we LOVED it!

It has a bottle of champagne that you might not be able to see!

I'll message you about GR! :)

Another Plan Change!!

We're changing our dates, to work with the PIN. August 11th-15th at Disney, with the weekends that bookend it at my Dad's in Tampa.

I joined a Photopass share today! Yay!

Now to join a fridge swap!

So, I've been looking into Pins. I think I'll get a 20-pin lot, and 3 lanyards for the trip. 7 pins to me and Nic each, and 6 to Jacques.

I'll be taking a Disney Store run soon for some shopping.

We've got till the 8th to put down our $75 deposit to DUT.

We're going to look into an Umbrella Stroller for the trip.

I already got my Baggalini we'll be using as a Diaper Bag/my purse.

We're going to take a trip to Home Depot today to get some key copies made and some LGMHs for tags, and some of all the color Mickey Heads to make a big countdown.

The big thing going on at our place right now is our big Spring Cleaning. We're going through and getting rid of everything that's just cluttering. We're planning on selling some stuff and donating the rest that isn't trash. All that money will go to our Disney budget. We're planning on doing everything, right down to things like the stuff we want on the DVR getting put on DVDs and everything!

The current project is the bedroom. It's pretty crazy. Everything's all over the house! :scared1:

He is! Although we changed our plans again, we're thinking about still doing a night at the Poly. Yeah, we're looking into maybe a private meal. Ohh... Chocolate Mickey does sound really yummy.

Aw, thank you!

You can go through Disney Florist even if you're not doing a wedding? Cool! I'll definatly look into that! That basket looks awesome! Of course, the champagne would be wasted on me, unless I stop breast feeding by the time of Disney. But, I'll definatly look into that.

Which baggalini did you get? Last year I just carried a small backpack, but I'd love to not have to carry that especially because it will be just my things and not DH's this year!

I got the messenger.bagg. I got a great deal on bagsbuy.com. They always have free shipping, plus the code save10 gets $10 off, plus you get 10% off for registering! Less than $20!

From how I've messed with it, it seems great! It also seems like it'll be really good on rides.

I suggest it 110% already!

Yay for ressies at Le Cellier!!

As far as other ressies, we're thinking:

A character breakfast
A night at Ohanas
A night at either CRT or CP
A lunch at SciFi
Maybe YAY.

We're planning on getting most breakfast stuff and some snacks at a grocery store.

This week's job is to make ressies and put down our deposit!

Wow! That does sound crazy! I'm sure you guys had fun, though! :)

Update time!

I Made Our Binder/Nic and Summer's Special Night

First off, we changed our Sci-Fi ressie to 50's Prime Time at noon! Yay :)

I started seriously working on the binder today. The sections are:
Flights
Pop Century
Reservations
Budget
General Park Info
Magic Kingdom
Epcot
DHS
DAK
Itineraries
Menus
Packing Lists
Activities
Maps

I also printed out the pocket guides from themouseforless.com. :)

I made really cute Mickey heads to use for the first page of each section, with the name of the section written underneath.
MickeyPOTC.jpg

We also planned out our evening for the two of us. We're doing a carriage ride through POR/POFQ around 6PM, then heading over to Epcot for a bit until our ADRs at Coral Reef at 8:30PM. Should be fun! :goodvibes

Also, I hear the Maple Creme Brulee is back at Le Cellier! Yay! :)

I'm looking into ordering pins this week sometime. I think I'll order a 15-pin grab bag, then pick up some lanyards. I figure, we'll start pin trading with 5 pins each. We can gain more as we take more trips.

I'm going to have to make a stop at the dollar store, too. Get some Disney stuff! :)

We'll be buying our airplane tickets this weekend. Found them for $100/each, with taxes and all, $270 total!

Here's some pictures! :)
