I do plan on doing a review when we return.

What do you think? Give me the Good, Bad and the Ugly!!

Restaurant choices are fine but I'm exhausted just thinking about making it to all those places in one day.

If dining is your priority I think you'll be very happy. And, I am looking forward to the review.

I hope you have a great trip.

Thanks HappyCamper87!!!

We love dining!! We may not eat everything offered to us at all of these places, the appetizer, entree, dessert, etc..who could? I may just eat App and Dessert, I've been known to do that at times.

But we are going during the free dining and upgraded to the DxDDP, just so we could try new places!! We plan on staying DVC from now on and wanted to see for ourselves if the DDP is worth it to us.

Some good choices. Have to agree with the OP that if dining is your thing-enjoy. My DH and I did a similar package for our honeymoon 14 years ago. I felt all we did was eat. In 1 week, we gained 5 pounds.

We are headed to WDW in a few weeks and have 1TS and 1CS per day. We have done this in the past and it fits us a lot better.

Let us know how you all enjoyed the food and your trip.

Have fun and HAPPY EATING!!!!

Make sure you pack your stretchy pants.

Choices look good. We're going the DxDDP from 9/6 - 9/14 but we're only eating twice a day.

That's too Funny!!!:lmao:

So, are you skipping breakfast?

I told DH that we should just do two, then he told me- didn't we pay extra to have three sit down meals??? I said, I guess we did. So, I made the ADR's, but during the first few days, we may be find out that we need to cancel a few of those ADR's, that we can't possibly go to them all.

I also have considered skipping lunch.. eating a big breakfast, then a snack mid-day, then eat at all 2TS places for dinner.

I will tell you that DH can eat!!! He's very small, but he can sure put away some food!!

When we went to WDW in March, I feel like I walked 10 miles a day...I stayed hungry. I guess I was using all the calories that I ate. We were not on the dining plan then though. And I never eat much Breakfast.

I pray I don't gain weight, b/c I weigh too much now!!!

my parents and I are going September 16-30 and doing the deluxe dining plan...thats two weeks!! but im soo excited
we are using the snacks as some of our breakfasts and and then we have the extra credits to go to restaraunts that require two credits:thumbsup2
im soo excited for this trip:yay: lol

My DH can eat like crazy also. Which is why we're going for DxDDP.

We're not planning on sitting down for breakfast except one morning at Boma. Definitely not breakfast people. If we're hungry, I left a couple of credits open for food court breakfast or we can use a snack credit. My DS loves the breakfast pizza at POP.

If you're having a big breakfast, you probably won't want lunch a few hours after it. I never want lunch after breakfast at Boma. Plus there are some good choices at AK for snack credits. The portions at Kona are large, you may not want the CS lunch, but your DH might. I wasn't all that crazy about Chef Mickey's breakfast, you may want lunch after that. ;)

No plans for the 14th? Or are you leaving ridiculously early?

Wowie wow. Just make sure you do a dining review for us! And bring a lot of tips!

The ones I would skip is paying OOP for rainforest, going to the Hollywood and Vine breakfast, and Capt'n Jacks. These are less than stellar places that, IMHO, can be skipped, which frees up space for your Captain Cooke's breakfast (even though it is CS, it still allows you to not pay OOP for that breakfast), and maybe even an early breakfast on your check-out day.

Our Flight isn't until 3:45PM, but I really didn't know what to expect as far as time goes. We are using Disney Magical Express for our transfers, something we have never had before, and I wasn't sure what time our luggage would need to be out and what time they'd pick us up. Wonder what time check-out is?

I would love to go to a park for awhile, then to lunch, but I don't know what to expect yet.

I tip my hat to you if you can manage all that food :thumbsup2

I do plan on a review!! And as fas as tips go... I tried to figure out how much our bills would be, that way I could budget tips. To tell the truth, I think they're going to cost me about $500, if I do 18%-20%.

I agree that Rainforest does not have great food, but my DS1 loves it there. We took him in March to eat there, and he loved the animals and the fish tanks. And also the Hollywood and Vine is for him also, he loves Playhouse Disney!! Now Capt'n Jacks, we tried to eat there in March, but could not get an ADR, we went there, and the wait was 2 hours, so we just figured the food was that Good. But since reading the review on these boards, I am starting to regret my idea here. I do have an ADR now at Jiko for that night also, I just have to decide which to keep.

Usually ME picks you up 2.5 - 3 hours before your flight leaves. So figure just before one-ish. I'd plan a late breakfast if I were you. Maybe 1900 Park Faire or Crystal Palace in MK so you're still near the Poly when it comes time for pickup.

If you have the credits, Jiko sounds much nicer than Captain Jacks.

$500 for tips? How many are in your party?

We leave on Monday night  to start Tuesday and 10 days in the world and we also have the Deluxe plan.
We wanted to do some 2 credit places, love the HDDR and wanted to try the Luau and Yatchsman so the deluxe seemed the way to go!;)

We either have breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner scheduled everyday, we have a couple credits left that I am sure somewhere along the line we can use up for whatever. We are doing some character meals and my son is so excited that he barely eats so if he needs something later no biggie!

i know its not for everyone and thats the nice things about being able to choose a plan, pick what works best for you and your family/group!

Oh and yes I am doing a food report when we get back! :thumbsup2

I don't think you're crazy!

It looks like you have a great plan, and will enjoy lots of good food!

We are doing 14 day of Deluxe Dining in September. Planning on a Full trip report with dining reviews and pics.

Looking forward to hearing about your experience when you return ...

Have Fun:wizard:

I'm doing the deluxe plan too, so if you're crazy, so am I. :goodvibes I'm doing a lot of days though when I only have two TS meal, breakfast or lunch, and then a nice dinner, though there are a couple of days when I have three meals a day planned, but I think I have them spaced out enough that I shouldn't be too full.

Good Morning ALL!!!

And thanks for all the replys!!

It's good to know that I am not alone.

I did make some changes to our ADR's, so go see my original posts and the changes will be in bold!!

We are doing the deluxe plan in October for 4 days for our anniversary trip. I don't think I would want to do this with the kids bc it would be too much sitting in a restaurant.

We are doing a couple of signatures so we don't have 3 sit down meals a day, just 2.

We are staying at BWV

Oct 5
L Italy
D Flying Fish

Oct 6
L Chefs de France
D Tokyo Dining

Oct 7
L Kona Cafe
D California Grille

Oct 8
L Coral Reef

We will use our abundant snack credits for breakfast.

I am hoping that we can also use our snack credits for the morning that we have no Breakfast scheduled and will also be dining at a signature place that night.

As far as kids go, we will have my Stepdaughter 16, and our 22 month old. He dines really well, and I think the sit down dining will be good for him. It'll give him a place to cool off and be out of his stroller.
