Are water parks terribly crowded in the afternoon

I got the water parks and more option on my tickets for last week of August. The way I have my itinerary planned it seems that I will have to do a water park in the afternoon. How bad will they be if I get there around 2 pm or 3pm? Is this a bad way to plan my itinerary? How long is the least amount of time I should stay there? What time do the water parks usually close? I am thinking of going to Typhoon Lagoon, as I think that all the slides at Blizzard Beach will be too much for my daughter. Thanks for your help.

If you are going to a water park on the Sat or Sun, I would guess TL would be crowded as many of the local folks visit during the weekend. During the week, it's probably not as bad. If you're primarily staying around the tide pool (and not waiting in lines for slides), then crowds don't matter as much. However, the later you arrive, the harder it may be to find open chairs or spots for your towels, lotion, shoes, etc.

Just got back we hit the water parks almost everyday between 1 and 3 for a few hours.

They closed at 7 pm

We entered the first day and they anounce they shut everthing down because of the storms .They opened everything back up and most people left so the lines were real short.

Other days it was crowded but not to bad . They had the Brazilians Teens all week so they added to the crowds and and wanted to line jump as one would be in the line and then 20 others would want to join . Then they would do the No speak english thing .

We stayed for 3 or 4 hours everyday we went as it ws just to hot to be in the parks all day.

Go during the afternoon storm. Everyone always leaves because the rides shut down, but the storms blow through in 20-30 minutes (usually) and the rides open to an empty park.

I tried to go to Blizzard Beach last Wednesday at noon and could not get in because the park was full to capacity. They said to try back at 2:00.
