Are Universal/IOA much less crowded off-season?

Hi. We went to Disney in early December and it was great: almost no crowds. Is it similar at Universal and IOA. What about October? Thanks.

We have only been to Orlando in January, and we have never experienced crowds. We spent 3 days in Jan 2000 at US/IOA and never had to wait in line more than a few minutes.

The beginning of december is usually pretty slow, with the busy time being between Christmas and New Years. October is also very slow, but the parks have reduced hours. Islands of Adventure is usually only open until 7pm, and USF only until 5:30 or 6pm, depending on whether or not Halloween Horror Nights is on that night. Weekends during October at USF can be crowded because a lot of people do the parks during the day and then do HHN from 7p-2a!

we went thursday april 26th @ 10:00. right when they opened.
no lines at all for ANYTHING! made our way around the whole park and did everything we wanted to do by 1:00
by the time we left though the wait for dragons was 0.

We have been to US/IOA 2nd week of Dec. and 2nd week in Jan. and there were no lines. Went in Nov. and June and it was crowded. In January we went on a week day and it seemed like we almost had the place to ourselves. Seems like we rode everything at least twice with no lines and Spiderman 5 or 6 times. Have a great trip.

We were there in Nov 99 and there were no lines at all, except once when Spidey was down for about 30 minutes.

We went Christmas week in 2000 and there were almost no lines. The longest that we waited was for River Adventure, about 30 min; That was our 3 time riding it anyway. We used the FOTL for the first two hours and if the line was to long like for Twister we just went somewhere else and came back later. December is a great time to go. We are going again this year at the same time.

I went in Feb 01 and it was absolutely deserted! No waits for anything! When I go again, I'm going again in Feb!
