Are these waits typical?

Looking at the app tonight. 12:30am EMH at MK:

7DMT- 50min
Space- 40min
BTMR- 25min

Yikes!

These look about right to me for heavy park times. I have seen them worse at this time of the night.

It isn't uncommon for Disney to inflate their wait times as the parks gets closer to closing. This includes EMH. This tactic is used to scare people from actually entering the queue as the park gets closer to closing. If I was to guess, 7DMT was more of a 20-25 minute wait, Space was about 20 minutes, and BTMR was a 10-15 minute wait. It obviously could be accurate, but with the park closing soon, I am thinking it is more an inflation in the wait times.

Even with 30 min still left of EMH? Seems kind of early for that. I’ve definitely heard and experienced them doing that during regular park hours.

When we roade FoP for a 2nd time near closing (an hour) on JUne 4th I believe the App said 120+ min, the sign at the ride said 90+ min and it took us 42 min. Plus (and this happened during the day) when we were at MK the stated wait times at Haunter Mansion and PoTC were 55 and 60 minutes and each took less than 30. The do seem to be messing with this own system to keep lines down.

Summer MK PM EMHs (which only typically happen once per week) are popular, especially for the late night crowd.

So 9:30pm at WDW?
SDMT seems about right.
Splash seems a tad high.
Thunder is probably a tad high as well.
Although if that was during EMH that means the park closed a bit early for being mid/late June so I can understand why people were still packed in the park.
There were probably non resort guests still in line at that point as well.

12:30 am WDW time:)

Last year during PM EMH at MK, we walked by 7DMT and the wait said 90 min. I looked at the line and they were almost inside the covered portion of the queue. We hopped in line and waited 15 minutes!

Yeah. I get very annoyed with this practice. We were at AK at 9:45 with a 10:30 close and we had a FP for FOP. Some friends we met didn’t have one and the posted wait time was 80 minutes. Our friends said that was too long, so they went home. When we got in the FP queue, there was no one in the regular line until the room with the Avatar body. Looked like maybe a 20 minute wait from our FP queue vantage point.

Same day at AK, Kali had a posted 65 minute wait. Got in the FP line and it was huge. No one in the regular line. People who entered the regular line after we did got on before we did in FP.

It would be nice to actually be able to have accurate times- not manipulative times- so we could plan a little better.

I agree that the times aren't always correct. My girls wanted to meet Ariel during EMH and the time posted was 45 minutes. We were about to walk away when the cast member told us that the wait was 15 minutes max. We waited maybe 10 minutes.

That being said, I found that many lines during evening EMH were still almost as long as daytime lines.

We were there that night. Did BTMR about 12:00. Sign said 40 min took about 15.

Space was down until 11:00. Came back on and said 135 min. Slowly came down until we tried it at 12:30 when it said 50 min. Took us 13 min to get on! I timed those to just to see how inflated wait times were at end of night.
