Are there VCR's in the Rooms?

We'll be in a one bedroom next month and want to be able to tape the AFC championship football game, But I know they switched out all the VCRs with DVD players. Did they put the VCRs in the master bedroom? Or can I call down to housekeeping and ask to use one? (Will they have them there?)

At which resort will you be staying? We just stayed in a 1 BR at VWL but they only had video players, not recorders.

No DVDs or VCRs in the bedroom. Only in the living room. And most of them were only players and not recorders.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to call and ask housekeeping if they happen to have any actual VCRs, especially at resorts (like OKW) that originally opened with VCRs.

BWV has combo VCR/DVD's that record on the VCR.

Well...if nothing else, VCR's are pretty cheap now, so it might be worth it to just buy one to take with you. I saw one at WalMart a few days ago that was tiny and it was only about $40.

We were in Disney last year and watched the AFC championship game at ESPN. What an absolute blast...it was full of Pats fans. We also watched the first game at Gillette from ESPN in Disney. It's a great atmosphere to watch a big game.

I see you are from the Cape, does that mean you are assuming that the Pats are going to go to the AFC championship game and that's why you want to tape it? Or it doesn't matter who's in the game, you want to tape it anyway? As a fellow New Englander (and fellow Pats fan, again I am assuming), and if reminded, I would be happy to tape it for you and mail it to you....

Thanks that is awesome of you to offer. This whole question is supposing that the Pats get to the AFC Championship. I thought of taping it and then DH could watch it at home. But Brother in law said no-way. Insists he has to watch it live.

Our real problem is that because Splash Mtn. is going to be closed for refurbishment while we are there starting on the 23rd. And we arrive on the 22nd. So we are trying to figure out how to run over to MK to ride Splash Mtn. No problem really unless the Pats are in the game. And if the game is at 3:30.

We will be at BWV. So for the poster that said they have the combos there that would be great.

And as for picking up a vcr at walmart. I think that is what we have decided to do.

So worst case scenario- 3:30 game Pats are in it, if we have no VCR or it doesn't record, run to Walmart pick up a VCR and hopefully the guys won't mind watching it later. I mean hey football is great but we will be at Disney.

And it's not like the Patriots haven't been in the Super Bowl before!!
