Are there songs that you hate that gets lots of radio air time?

"Beautiful" is getting on my nerves a little bit, too. I hear a lot of the same songs in the gym, over and over and over and over and over and over again and I swear, if I hear another song about some humps, grillz, booty, junk in the trunk, gettin' low or krunkin' I am gonna SCREAM!!!

Hahaha, yeah I know- you're not the only one who loves her! I can't put my finger on what it is... every song I hear by her just grates on my nerves. I think it's genetics or something.

Oh come on! You know you love listening to Get Low while working out! How can you not love a song that has the number "fiftyeleven" in it?

My husband and I both hate that '"daughters" song. My hubby is a navy pilot and when he was oversees they have a military radio station that plays the same like 100 songs over and over for months at a time and "daughters" was one of them so its black listed in our house.......if he comes on he runs! We share an ipod so I added it to his play list before he went to the gym one morning...hehe. He called me from the gym to yell

Thanks for the idea--if I could figure out how to do it, I could put the beautiful song on ly son's iPods!

Sometimes it's not the songs, but the frequency that they play them on the radio. They play the beautiful song every hour it seems and that's on XM where it seems that they would have a bigger budget to play more music, but I guess that's not how it works (I'm stupid about how that sort of thing works...).

And sometimes the tunes are ok, but the words! yikes! And the rap crap I can't stand, but my 12yo likes. My 12yo and I have VERY different taste in music, if you can even call what he likes music. At least my 15yo likes rock music so we do have some of that in common and my 18yo DD and I share some interests. My 6yo DS and I both like Disney.

I also hate the 'You're Beautiful' song by James Blunt. In fact, I hate all of his songs I've heard! Oh, and the 'My Humps' Black Eyed Peas song! I also hate the 'I Like The Way You Move' song, can't remember who sings it though...

I'm assuming that we should substitute your radio or iPod for that computer in your smilie from above, because you know that killing your computer in frustration won't stop those songs, right? That is unless you are listening to it via your computer...

I love My Humps and You're Beautiful......but I agree about that Daughters song! Actually anything by him makes my cringe! My Humps is sleazy, but I think its hysterical! And sleazy is pretty much what you get with the Black Eyed Peas!

Thankfully, the hype over 'You're Beautiful' has died down a bit over here (and I was in Florida for a chunk of it - thankfully!).

I'm not fussed on anything by Natasha Bedingfield (Daniel's sister) - whenever she has a single out it gets lots of airtime, and it's all one song with different names (much like Dido). She's probably working on a new album right now and I'll have to endure it all over again next year

pajamommy - I didn't mind her first song ('Single'), but the ones that came afterwards were quite similar.

'These Words' is quite similar to 'Unwritten' - they're both about songwriting and sound v.similar (IMO). I suppose I was exaggerating a little when I said 'all'

She's not as bad as Dido though (at least NB sings with a bit more passion about her songs!).

The "You're Beautiful" parody was on MadTV. And it was pretty hysterical!

I don't hate the song, bit its pretty odd sounding. It also, always gets stuck in my head.

I love My Humps. Pump it (LOUDER!!!) is a lot of fun too.

I'm going to switch it up by mentioning a country song, but I swear I always hear Carrie Underwood's "Jesus take the wheel." Enough!

I have her CD and her songs sound very different. I've heard her other songs on TV shows where she performs.

I originally posted about the 'grill' song. I had DH listen to it, he said he thought it was about mouth jewelry. I thought he had to wrong, no one would listen to that. When I heard it again I realized he was right. They were talking about having diamonds in your teeth, so the air was cold when you blew out (hence, the ice)

I hope this doesn't start a new trend... (picture 'bling on the teeth)

By the way, I love Dido she is one of my favorites, but the songs do all sound similar (and that okay with me! )

Has anyone else heard this song and been annoyed? Am I alone on this?
