Are there plenty of the Vera Bradley bags?

DW, DD and I got up this morning and headed to the mall. On our way, DD asked how long will it take to get to Disney . We have recently moved to SC from upstate NY. Of course then the wheels started turning in my head. On a whim, we decided to drive down to Orlando tonight and do some Christmas shopping at DTD and have dinner. We were able to get a reservation on property and will get up in the morning and head to Busch Gardens since we already had tickets. My question is, does anyone know if DTD has plenty of Vera bags? We are headed to Disney in December for a big trip and had planned to buy what we needed then, but since we are going to be here in less than an hour, we'd like to get them now. Thanks!!!

I don't know about DTD but I saw plenty in that store next to the art gallery in the MK.

They were sold out of most of the styles that were in black at DTD last night. DW was so very disappointed. Guess we will have to wait until our regular trip in December.

You mean Disney parks carry vera bradley purses in their stores now? I didn't know, must be relatively new thing? We were at Disney last October and we didn't see them. My daughters and I are HUGE fans of VB and each have quite a few any special patterns in Disney parks ??

These were just released...like a week or two ago?.....they are special disney pattern bags. I only got a glimpse of them yesterday as the kids were not in the mood to let me window shop but they looked good from what I saw.

Here is a video with a sneak peek. Google images has pictures as well. If Vera Bradley is your thing, great! I dislike them, they look like something my grandma would make and use (Vera Bradley in general). I do like the Dooney and Bourke Disney theme bags.

I have VB and like some of the patterns, however I hate the Disney patterns.

After LeSport and D&B did such good jobs of intergrating a Disney design the then was applied to their style,(I didn't buy any as I don't like either of those bags) I was excited about VB, however they are atrocious. The VB ones are basically a VB design with some random Mickey and Minnie's slapped on them. They did not do a good design job at all. My mom still wants to buy a small piece just to have but I'm thinking that I'll pass.

In the video sneak peek Barbara Bradley is asked if the design process was any different when designing for Disney. The response, "not really" and it shows. The bags look like a standard VB print with Mickey, Minnie, or both oddly slapped into the pattern.

DD17 likes VB for make up or large totes but never for an actual purse. I'm disappointed in these and won't buy any.

I have to disagree - I have the pink backpack and just LOVE it - I also saw the black pattern and both are nicely done with subltle Mickey and Minnie's in the pattern. I got my backpack on Friday and I lost count of the number of compliments that I got over the weekend - everyone just loved the pink.

Guess it just goes to show that we all have different opinions

I'm wondering if the VB Disney travel tote is big enough for my canon camera ? in its soft sided camera pouch?
As well as other items I'll carry in it during our Disney vacation.
Which tote WILL be big enough for those items, without feeling like I'm lugging a suitcase around all day.

Alot of people would disagree with you on that. I was one of the ones there around 6:45am Sept 21st when they were first released at the DTD store. The line was huge (all the way out and outside around the back of the store and then they had a rope queue marked out that wove in and out on the side of the store). They had a CM walking the line telling everyone that for the first two days there would be a limit of just one of each item per customer and then on Monday the limit would go up to two of each item per customer. Everyone there that morning was buying multiple items and walking out with huge shopping bags. I bought the large duffel, tote, mini hipster, and cell phone wristlet in black and then another mini hipster and the makeup bag in pink. I love them and have gotten alot of complements on them.

The only things I did not get that day were the zip ID (because they didn't make the lanyard to match it), the back pack (I wanted the big one, but they only made the small one), and the hipster (too big for what I carry, so got two mini hipsters instead).

I didn't get there until late on the 21st and there was a bunch left of ea style. There may have been a few they didn't have I got the black shoulder bag to carry in the parks. Also got to use my Dvc discount.

All a line then proved is the eBay pre sellers needed inventory.

They announced today that the VB bags will be available from the online Disney store on Oct. 21. They also announced a third design: Where's Mickey?

I do like the blue ones better as they seem to be a better blend of the two styles.

I was surprised they didn't do a red/black/yellow pattern with maybe the classic three circle Mickey being the basis of a paisley print.

I know what you mean about a red & black & yellow. I would think that would be a no brainer! I already bought a red & black & white VB hipster for my upcoming trip a couple of months back before I even knew about these new Disney ones.
