My DD4's 5th Birthday falls on Thanksgiving Day this year. :bday:

She has been telling anybody that will listen to her for the last several months that her daddy is taking her to Disney for her birthday. We have no plans and have started looking today at rooms. ('Cause what else do you do when baby girl knows what she wants? ;)) DH can get discounted tickets through work and we drive so going to get groceries will save us from needing DDP.

DH is thinking CRT for the night of her birthday. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Oh, and thanks to being a vigilant DIS researcher, I know that capacity may be an issue. We're taking that into consideration for that day's plans. :thumbsup2

We usually go for Thanksgiving week, and I think you are out of luck on the room discount for that week. We have used the dining plan for the last few years, but I don't recall seeing a room only. I guess with discounted tickets you arn't looking for the dining plan, but it is really a huge money saver for us. You might want to consider it. I don't know how much of a discount on tickets you can get but not having to fool with food in the room is a big plus for me. As far as CRT for her B-day, I think this late you are probably out of luck there too, unless you find someone that is going to cancel and coordinate with them on a time. I was able to hand off mine for CRT last year and we were successful. Good luck to you, I hope you can get CRT for her for her b-day.

If you can check-in by November 19, it would be possible for you to be at WDW during Thanksgiving week and possible recieve a free dining discount. The "rumored" free dining announcement that is supposed to be released this Wednesday, August third, is supposed to include the dates of November 13 - 19. If you can check in by the last day of the promo you could have the discount applied to your reservation up to 14 nights.

Other than that, you are going to probably be out-of-luck for any discount during Thanksgiving week.

Thanks! I actually found a time for all 3 meals that day, granted they're off peak times, but I don't think she'll care. I think we'll go with breakfast.

Thanks, Tiffany! I ran the numbers for the extra 2 days (we're planning a 21st check in), just a 2 day base ticket to be able to get FD and it's a little bit of a stretch for us right now, especially to have to pay it in full by 10/5.

The problem I'm running into now is it seems that every time I redo my scenario, even with all the same options, the price goes up. :confused3
