This would be a great idea if they did. Helps us and helps them. Someone at DVD needs to figure out how to make swapping into other Disney products a better value.
I have not noticed adjustments to the DVCpoint charts for cruises after they are released. I can't say for sure that has never happened, but since the same point chart lists all of the cruises for an entire location or season, I don't think the point charts ever reflect any changes to specific cruises.
I don't know if the points charts ever change after they're issued, even if prices go down. But they also don't change if prices go up - which historically is more likely with DCL.

This is a great counterpoint. I mean the value is so bad the pricing would really have to skyrocket…but sometimes it does, especially around the holidays.
Based on my very limited research, seems like you're much better off point swapping through the site sponsor or their largest competitor. Would be delighted for someone to tell me that's wrong, and that you can actually get a better deal doing an exchange directly with Disney/DVC.

It depends on what you mean by deal. You will certainly spend fewer points if you go through a third-party broker. But in terms of the amount of friction in the process, an exchange through DVC is much easier.
