My family is going to WDW in January 2014. It is important to us that we stay close to Magic Kingdom since my son is young and will need naps. It is also important to us that we be able to view the fireworks from our room since my son is afraid of them outdoors. Also, since this is his first visit, we aren't sure just how many things he will be willing to try so the hotel room experience might be a big part of our vacation. We already have a room reserved at Bay Lake Tower, a one bedroom with theme park view. I know there are not alot of these rooms to start with, and all of them are booked at this point. So is there any chance at all of us getting some kind of discount on anything, on the hotel room, meals or theme park tickets? When the stay, play and dine first came out I called to try to get that applied but was told that it wasn't available for my room type. I was also told that I couldn't use the AAA rate either. Is there any hope of any kind of discount with Disney? Or is my best chance for some small savings to use a broker for theme park tickets? Are discounts on one bedroom villas w/theme park view at Bay Lake Tower non-existent since there is little inventory and high demand even in the off-season?
