Are there different kinds of buildings at OKW?

I was using windows live last night and noticed quite a different look between some of the buildings that I believe are all in the OKW resort. Seemed like half the resort was made of up smaller, square buildings and the other half much larger, long, rectangular buildings that had a much different look. Is this correct?

By the way, if you haven't seen this windows live, you have to check this out. We have all seen the various map and satellite things, but with this windows live you can now click the 3D view and you get tiled images (when you want to move up down right left you have to click on the next tile in that direction) that are incredible. Much better detail! Looking at the resorts and parks is really fun.....

I think some of the newer buildings are more floors and have elevators .But I haven't stayed before so I'm not sure.

Buildings vary from 2 to 3 floors. Only Bldgs 62,63 & 64 have elevators. While the building footprints vary, the individual rooms are basically identical. Think of OKW as being built from building blocks, with the rooms being the individual blocks. Building exteriors (the stacks of blocks) are different shapes, but the rooms (the blocks themselves) are the same.

The resort layout varies widely. The aerial photos are sometimes misleading regarding the buildings themselves. As Chuck noted, they are all either two or three floors, but the configuraion varies greatly from there. The villas themselves are pretty consistent in layout, design and furnishings.

Here is a description of the layout of the resort - building-by-building.

... and here is a map of the resort itself:

OK, I must have been up later than I thought. What I was looking at on Live was Port Orleans resort! Oooops.

Now this looks more like it:

That makes sense. Because the current Port Olreans consists of what was two seperate and distinctly themed WDW resorts. Port Porleans French Quarter is the original Port Orleans resort with New Orleans theming. Port Orleans Riverside was orignally Disney's Dixie Landings resort, with an anti-bellum "Old South" mansion theme.
