Now that I have got Nintendo wifi working again, I have tried to go online with some of my friends. Problem is, most of them are American, and hardly online at all when I am, due to the time difference involved. So, I was hoping to find some UK friends in which I can online with and bug at every moment of every day.

Are there any UK Wifi-ers that have either Mario Kart or Animal Crossing? If so, please post or PM me, but do NOT post friend codes on this thread ~ anyone could get at them.

Thanks; Hoping to go online real soon.

Sorry Matt, I dont know of any, but I will ask my daughter to see if she does :thumbsup2

Whoops that reminds me I haven't been back to my town in ages - I'll be in for a good telling off if I go back now - think of the weeds! I have wifi too - if I can figure our how to work it I'll let you know :thumbsup2

I have the game (Animal Crossing), but I couldnt really get anywhere on it so I quickly gave up on it.
I do play MarioKart and Tetris DS online though, they are quite good fun.

Dd (7) has animal crossing but isn't sure how to sign up to WiFi.
Her big brother tells her she can only do it if she's in a wifi vecinity - ie Burgerking.

Any tips to help her on her way ...........;-)

DD is getting animal crossing for her birthday but I'm not sure about WiFi either :confused3

Apparently DD picked up fellow DSers when we were away in Italy so I can only suggest we were in the area of a WiFi system? :confused3

To get nintendo Wifi, you need to either:

1) Have wireless broadband, in which case you can either search for a wireless access point (i.e. the router itself) on the Wifi settings menu on the main screen of the game or input the data about your wireless router manually.

2) Have non-wireless broadband, in which case you need to buy a Nintendo Wifi USB connector which plugs into your PC.

or:

3) Have neither, and look for a Nintendo Wifi hotspot (see nintendo wifi's webby to see the local ones near you).

Option 1 is the most trickest; some routers simply don't want to go with the DS. It is very wise to check out nintendo wifi's site @ www.nintendowifi.com and see what you can dig up about your routers and DS's.

Oh and Alison, your DD was able to pick up other people as she must of went with the DS to DS option, instead of connecting to the internet via Nintendo Wifi. Hope this helps. :)

Quite probably Matt :sunny:

Her DS did ask for some number or other to be put in but I hadn't a clue what it was - she seemed to manage okay though ;)

Was it a friend code? These are special codes which each DS has when they connect to nintendo wifi. It allows you to identify who you are; it's unique to you; and you need to exchange the codes with you and a friend before you can do anything over the net.

If you managed to connect to the router and access Nintendo WiFi, congrats! It took me ages to do it when I tried; had to buy the connector.. Now all you need is someone to visit, and ta da! :)

Edit: Games such as Mario Kart (and some others) don't need friend codes unless you want to play with a specific person. In which case, have fun playing!

Woo!!! :teeth:

Now that people have figured out the mystery of getting it online; willing to exchange friend codes via pms. :)

Oh, and I am getting LostMagic soon; dependant if my brother can find it today at the shops. :)

Giving this a much needed bump.

Oh, and I didn't get lost magic; still have mario kart and animal crossing and still looking for friends. :)

Updating just to say that I have Lostmagic now; can duel anyone now on it!

I have animal crossing, And ill try to find somebody who lives in the UK who is on my list, half of them are americans though, sorry
