did a keys to the kingdom tour many years ago, before i started using an ecv.
would love to do another tour, but wonder if any are accessible with an ECV.

All of the tours are accessible. The only problem I ever had was when I might have had to go to a ramp or other accessible entrance while most of the group used stairs.

It does not hurt to let them know in advance so they will have a lift bus available, even though it is not legally required. Several years ago I was on a tour when some of the participants showed up with ECVs that were not expected and they had to scrounge up an additional vehicle.

We took the Holiday tour a couple of years ago - can't remember the name - just had to tell them we had a scooter so they had the right bus. No biggie. Only tour I can think of that you can't have a scooter on is the Wild Africa Trek.

We just did the Magic Behind the Steam train tour at MK (awesome by the way...and I have no interest in trains :goodvibes). I had told them we had a scooter, but we had to be there so early we ended up driving rather than taking a bus, so we left the scooter in the room.

They said had I brought it they would have transferred me to a wheelchair as no ecv's on the steam trains (or at least the one they start the tour on). I could have taken one, but since the tour really doesn't have any walking I just declined the chair and they made sure I always had a place to sit if necesary.

As for the tour itself it's great. You get in MK first well before everyone else and get shots of Main St completely empty. Then you take the first train (just the tour group) of the day to the offsite round house. They show you how they run the trains, power them up, etc. You get a full tour of the engine and get to sit up front (no horn tooting tho :crazy2:).Then you ride the passenger train out to New Fantasyland Station where they fill it with water and let on passengers. At Main St you get off and get a small snack/break. Then they gather up benches in Main St Station and talk for an hour or so about how Disney loved trains and how trains really shaped Disneyland, etc. You get some neat souveniers too.

Did it for DH who is a big train buff, but I had just as much fun as him. Plus, since it's a no ecv thing it's nice that there's no walking.

we did family magic tour, at mk, at least that is what i think its called.

If your interested in one, just call and ask.

We have gone on many tours with my son who uses a manual chair. There have been several where people stayed in their ECV or used a disney manual chair. The tours we have taken:
Wild by Design - two times
Back Stage Safari - two times
Wild Africa Trek - one time
Mickey's Magical Milestones
Marceline to Magic Kingdom
Flower and Garden Festival - Epcot Garden Tour
Behind the Seeds
Undiscovered Future World - this is long, for us about 5 hours, and a lot of walking if one is thinking of trying to walk it :-)
I think there might be more, but can't remember. We enjoyed them all. No problem with the wheelchair.

Also, we have done the kinds of things where you learn a lot of info that aren't exactly tours:
Lunch with an Imagineer at Brown Derby
Untamed Lunch with an Animal Trainer at the Sanaa (this was so good we did it twice) We learned a whole lot and we all got to sit down and eat!
Also, we have done the little free tours at the hotels and at the world showcase (not sure how many of these still exist)
Hope this helps.
Have fun

I did Keys to the Kingdom tour in September and it was no problem at all with me being on an ECV
