Are there any special 4th of July DVC events?

Thinking of going this year over the 4th.

Although it was hot & steamy; DH, GD & I loved our first 4th of July week @ Disney! Can't wait to do it again.

Last year there was a TL party, unfortunately not on schedule this year for the after hour events.

I was able to grab the member 'paid' party @ the CR outdoor ballroom area. It went very fast! Did it on the 3rd, MK has the same FW that night.

4th we went to Epcot & FP the FW. They have a special display, have never seen anything quite like it

We are going to WDW for our first 4th of July trip this year as well and I’d love to hear about any DVC events. I’m excited that we will be in a one bedroom at CCV, we’ve never stayed at WL!

OP My 7 y.o. GD ranked it highly. She loved being able 'to play' at the event.

My only complaint was that people did tend to get a bit aggressive staking out spots for the FW at the last minute. (Especially those who thought it a great idea to stand directly in front of those who had lugged their chairs over to far end of the parking lot near the road.) Not sure why such a last minute scrum, viewing was good anywhere in the area.

Would happily book it again. Was different from anything we've done @ WDW, old school carnival games, entertainment, refreshments & lots of fun.

The character picture line was the only thing that needed tweaked. Line was long from beginning to end. To their credit, they kept the characters on hand longer than announced and accommodated those who still hadn't had a chance to take their picture.

Worth remembering: Top of the World is in blackout for July 3 and 4. Must be at BLT to go up.

We are going to Disney this July for hubbys bday. He did not want to deal with the crowd in MK so hoping they will have the dvc dessert party. Have Ohana booked as backup figuring dinner and then watch from beach. On the 4th we are going to Epcot and have dinner at rose and crown close to showtime.

We tried to get into the DVC party last year, but it was sold out very quickly. We were there long enough to be able to go to the TL party though. I'm hoping to try for the DVC party again this year.

Off top of my head mid-May...look at link i posted earlier, believe it’s in there somewhere.

I had to call MS yesterday to extend my Oct tripAsked if anything in place yet for a possible CR event again on 7/3.

CM looked and saw nothing but said, in an encouraging tone, it was ‘blacked out’ on her calendar. Couldn’t get more info lol, told to keep an eye out. Perhaps that means the date is a placeholder for something & ‘could’ be coming again this year

Bumping up

Enjoyed our long vacationhad hoped to come back & find an announcement of potential event for this year.

Hope it hasn’t fallen by the wayside, a really nice event that my GD keeps mentioning.

I originally missed the window for booking the party this year. Sold out I was told by 10 AMish.

had called that morning @ 9 am & was told it wasn’t available, which was very disappointing. Contacted MS and was told they would address this with the specific CM I spoke with that morning but couldn’t book for me.

I have been calling twice a day (maximum permitted lol) every day since. Was able to secure 1 reservation a few weeks ago. This past Monday was able to find two more, we are set!

If anyone is still looking for openings, cancellations are required 24 hours prior to the date = 7 pm on 7/2
