Are there any rumors of another Military rate for 2011?

I did get a CM who was able to use the military discount but not for my date. Apparently, March 11 until May 1 is a blackout time. I guess I will have to wait and see if something else comes out.
 
Anyone know how many rooms can be booked with this discount? We would need two.
 
I appreciate Disney continuing to offer these discounts. I know alot of military families that would not be able to visit Disney without the savings...

hi I wonder if I am eligible for military discount since DH is not full time now just reservist but he is OIF/OEF vet. where can I find this info. We stay value so Free dining works for us, will the military disc be better/ same?

I have a couple quick questions about the military discount.

1) Can you book the room discount for a family trip in May and then an adult trip in September or is it just a one time a year discount?

2) I think you can buy a ticket for the military person and up to 6 additional tickets. Do all of these tickets have to be used at the same time or can we use them like this: One trip including military person, DW, DS x 2, DD for a total of military person and 4. This would leave two tickets. Could these two tickets be used at a later date for military person and DW?

I don't care to pay full price for the tickets for the adult only trip, but it would be nice if we didn't have to. Any help would be appreciated.

You can use the room only discount as much as you'd like.

The tickets can be used on separate occasions must all be activated together at the same time. Your whole party (with IDs) goes to a ticket window and each ticket is activated for an individual. They don't have to be used that day, but all have to be activated together. As to can you activate two tickets for a person, I'm not sure, I've never tried that. I guess it would depend on who was working the ticket window. What I have done is had two military members in a party and bought two tickets per person, then each military member activates their half of the tickets.

Can you talk another military family into going the same time on your first trip?
 
Just got off the phone (right before they closed down for yet another reservation system upgrade) w a CM. Tried to change our existing reservation for Pop into a military discount reservation. CM was very nice but did not know the code, so I gave it to her. Then she told me that the code for values is only for a preferred room??? This did not make any sense to me. I asked if perhaps all of the standard rooms were sold out that night (mind you, this is January 25, a Tuesday NOT near any holidays). She said maybe that was the problem. I pointed out that I have an *existing* reservation for a standard room, so couldn't the code just be applied to my reservation. She didn't know anything about doing that.

I am almost certain that once in the past I have had them switch my reservation to another code type. In this case, I would like to do it b/c I want to leave my options open in case we want to add dining plan only without tickets.

I think I will wait until the upgrade is over with and call back and try to get another CM. So frustrating when you get a different story from each one!
 
We have never used more than one ticket per person but I specificly remember a post where someone did just that this year!
 
Called and was able to get the military code applied to my existing reservation at Pop. Yet again, a different CM has a different solution....I think the difference is this CM was willing to put me on hold, even if she had to do it several times, to check w/ a supervisor to figure out how to apply the code. I just wish that one could get consistent answers!!
