Are there any prepaid cell phone plans that the minutes don't expire?

I was just wondering if there were any prepaid phone plans out there that the minutes don't expire? It looks like most of them expire in like 30 days. We have a plan with Verizon and it would cost about $12 with tax to add another line but my 13 won't use it that much and I was looking for a plan that I could put prepaid time on but that it wouldn't expire if he didn't use it all in a month.

I'm not familiar with how cell phones work in the States.

However, friends of mine went to Disney in May and purchased 2 TracFones. When they came back, they gave them to us to use for our September trip.

There is still 71 minutes on each phone that does not expire until mid-October. So, 5 months for sure! Maybe check them out?

You can buy a 1 year plan from trac fone for around $100 or Page Plus Cellular does $10 for 120 days.

Tracfone and Virgin also have plans with rollover minutes, though with Virgin those plans are a bit less popular and hidden a bit deeply on the website.

I bought a Virgin phone for my dad @ Target, where you bought $100 worth of minutes that didn't expire and were good for a year, since he didn't use the phone much.

Once you spend $100 in refills (1,000 minutes) with TMobile to Go the minutes last for a year. We usually buy one card a year for each of our phones.

Virgin Mobile. If you add at least $15 to your account every 90 days, your phone will stay active and you won't lose whatever minutes you already have.
