Are There Any Fast Food Chains Nearby Vero Beach?

This will be my first time going to Vero Beach. I have read some of the threads regarding some of the restaurants nearby. But I haven't read any that say if there are any fast food chains such as McDonalds , Burger King, Taco Bell or although the following are not fast food, what about TGIF Fridays, Olive Gardens or Red Lobsters. And how long will it take me to drive to the grocery store, I think I read est. 20 minutes, does that sound about right?

There are plenty of restaurants within 20 minutes of the resort. Publix is just up the road maybe 15 minutes.

Leaving VB resort, you will turn right on A1A, then left at the first light, then right on US 1. A Burger King is right there...not more than 5 min. and 5 miles. A little further down is the Publix, 10 min. Very close. No Olive Garden, TGIF, etc. You will have to drive to Vero Beach and go to the mall there for those types of eateries. Thats about 20 min down 95 past the resort.

There is a new Olive Garden just before the mall on Rte 60. If you continue, the mall is on your right and there is TGIFridays and a few other chains in there. You'll also find McDonalds and Burger King near the intersection of 58th Ave and Rte 60.

Great directions! The Disney CM's had us taking 95. This looks like a much better way to go!

Thank you all for the replies they are VERY helpful and I love the directions. I will be spending 4 days at Vero then 4 days in wdw. So it is good to know that there are available fast food chains and other restaurants chains that are well known no matter where you vacation are nearby.

I am considering cancelling my dining plan at wdw b/c I'll have a full kitchen @ SS. I was thinking about spliting 2 days of in room meals and two days of dining out for dinner. I was going to make a stop at the grocery store during my stay at vero. And depending on Florida's price of groceries and selections avail. I was going to pick up a few things after my stay at vero heading on into SS. So I will definately make a decision to keep the plan when the first 2 days of Vero. I'll have to weigh out the savings, b/c that can be used to enjoy other activities at disney.

But every little penny counts, when it comes to spending at Disney.
