Are there any DVC Phillies Fans??#215 has our tally!

Does anyone know the easiest route to get from Philly to L.A.......take Houston Street :rotfl2:

Lifelong Phils fan here, I just want to congratulate the Rockies and their fans. They gave the Phils all they had. They have nothing to be sad about. Three of the four games were one run games and cold have gone either way. The team and their fans should be very proud of the way they played. Before the series I said that I was very worried about the Rockies, since June they had played some of the best baseball in MLB. I just hope the Phils get a little more offense and solid pitching against the Dodgers. The Dodgers do have the best bullpen in baseball, I'm not so scared of their starting pitching. Randy Wolf and Vicente Padilla don't send chills down my back, Phils in 5.

As a lifelong Giants fan, I am definitely going to be routing for Philly in the next series!!!

Down with the Dodgers!!!

Does closer Lidge remind anyone else of the Wildthing (aka Mitch Williams)?

Hi!!

I have to admit it - I have changed the channel when he pitched and it got a little too close for comfort. Also, it does remind me of memories I have of the 'Wild thing' - half the time I feel like I'm a reincarnation of Curt Schilling with a towel over my head and afraid to look :rotfl: Last year on the other hand, it was always great to see 'Lights Out' Lidge. I heard someone say that this year he's more like a light dimmer switch - sometimes he's up and sometimes he's down  !!

On a side note, I now love hearing Mitch Williams on the radio and TV analyzing the Phillies and baseball in general, especially last year during the World Series with Ricky Bottalico and Co. - Go Phillies !!!!!!

Let's Go Phillies - Cheering the Phillies from South Jersey!!
BTW, For those who do not know New Jersey sports geography we are divided into 2 cheering sections with the border being around the Princeton area. In South Jersey- we are the Philadelphia Team supporters and in North Jersey they are the 'New York team supporters !!

Go Phillies! :banana::banana::banana:

I think I'm the only person in the Philly area that's not a Phillies fan. I'm not a baseball fan in general, so it's nothing direct against the Phillies baseball team. However, I'm a huge Eagles fan. I look forward to Sunday afternoons and watching those games!

Another lifelong Phillies fan checking in here! I used to sit outside and listen to the games on the radio at nightime back in the old days 1973-83 or so...

At 11 y.o., I had a crush on Tug McGraw - which was funny to my family because I was a total tom-boy. I used to practice pitching left handed in the backyard because I liked Tug so much!

I wore my NL champ t-shirt from 1993 yesterday....

Let's go Phils!

Mike Schmidt was one DS's hero! We lived in Lower Makefield when the boys were growing up and Matt just loved the Phillies.

I was able to get autographed pictures for my DSs once we moved to Dayton. Mike Schmidt is from this area originally.

Apparently tonight's NLCS Game 1 is not even sold out in LA. What a lame sports city.

Keep it up, Phils!
