are there any disney employees here?

We have a friend that works for disney and she said she could get us any disney hotel at $50/night. This sounds too good to be true. Is that correct. Do disney employees get that good of a discount for family and friends?? We would like to stay at a Villa, will this be included? She said she was going to look into it more for us. We will be in Orlando from Aug. 20-29, 2008. I have e-mailed her numerous times since Christmas but haven't heard back from her. I am getting nervous because I usually have all our reservations booked 9 months to a year ahead of time. She said she wouldn't be able to make reservations until 3 months before our arrival. Any info will be greatly appreciated. I am just wondering if I should make reservations some where and then cancel them when and if I hear from her just in case. We already booked our airline. $50/night sounds about right. Recently I could get $49/night at a Value Resort weekdays during off-season for pass-holders. You might as well make reservations anyways. In the past they have told me as long as I cancel 45 days before check-in, I'd get a refund.

Call her today. Leave your return phone number and ask her to get back to you either way.

If you don't hear from her within a few days, book your trip using AAA or any other discounts you can get.

I really think that you won't have trouble getting a room at that time of year 3 months out if your friend falls through. I suppose you could book and cancel if you just wanted to be safe.

it is not any room for $50 a night, that is the CM rate at the values.
