Oof sorry I should have updated this!
Yes, my guide was able to help me with this and I was able to upgrade my contract to 300pts at BLT from a 200pts AKV. They called it a "contract rewrite" and it gave me new contract numbers and a new membership number. I decided to split the 300pts into two 150pt contracts. I wanted to do 3x 100pt contracts but minimum was 150 but I don't know if that was for both or if I could have split the other 150 into 2x 75--but I didn't think to ask at the time.
My old reservation at AKV in December, of course, didn't stick with me but luckily for me, there was space left for a 1BR Lake @ BLT.
The process was really easy and there was almost no work on my part except e-signing the new contracts.
I'm not sure what factors allowed for me to redo the contract but maybe these had something to do with it:
- I was upgrading to get more points
- I hadn't yet finished paying off initial contract and therefore haven't "closed" (not sure if I am using the right term)
My guide made it seem really easy... it
almost seemed like it was a common thing though I'm sure results vary from situation to situation.
