Are there any "behind the scenes" opportunities for dancers?

My daughter will be celebrating her 15th birthday during our Christmas/New years trip this year. She is a fairly advanced dancer and I wondered if there are any special behind the scenes opportunities for future performers. Would she be able to go behind the scenes at the Beauty and the Beast show or anything like that?

They used to have something like that when the Disney Institute was open. My DD (she was 12 at the time) got to go with a group of kids to The Beauty And The Beast show. They got to meet the cast and talk to them about performing. She got her picture taken and made into a headshot and the CMs helped them put together their first resume. She had a blast. Since the institute closed down their classes, I don't think they have anything like this now.

I'm taking a group of 11 theater students in June. We're doing some special things through the Disney Youth Education Program - an acting and improv class, a video production class, backstage tours at Cirque and Beauty and the Beast, a mock musical audition, discussion sessions with performers/directors/designers, etc. You have to have a group of at least 10 to set those up, but maybe you could get added on to another group somehow.

I had the opportunity to attend a workshop with one of the performers from Beauty and the Beast through Disney's Magic Music Days 3 summers ago and it was phenomenal! We learned 3 different mini dances and pretended it was an audition. In the end we got to perform for Goofy. However, it was a group thing - i think like the above poster said there have to be 10 or more in a group to do this. If your daughter ever gets the opportunity though, definitely do it!
