We did the Back Stage Safari during a light rain fall, no real problems as quite a bit of it occurs indoors. I suppose as with all things outside a torential down pour or lightening would most likely result in a cancellation of the event. With has frequently has there is showers in central Florida I'm sure the walking tours work around rainy times. Tours such has the Segway Around the World would obviously be cancelled in the event of rain. Anyway we loved the Safari, you will have a great time
1) Light Rain - tours till active
2) Medium Rain - tours still active
3) Heavy Rain - tours may be paused
4) Deluge Rain - tours canceled
5) Monster Rain - tours canceled and they start measuring cubits
When we were just there in Aug we saw a tour sloshing past us in a pretty good downpour. I felt bad for them. The tour is so good, but I wouldn't want to take it in the pouring rain.
If the parks stay open, the tours usually still go on....if there's a chance of rain on the day your taking the tour...bring rain gear...make sure you have comfortable shoes (wet shoes are definitely uncomfortable to begin with)
