I hear they may not be as fun for kids ages 12 to 16? Is that true? Are they worth skipping?

Personally, I disagree. I fell in love with Blizzard Beach at the age of 14. Summit Plummet is intense, being the world's tallest and fastest waterslide.

Typhoon Lagoon is good for it's wavepool and swimming with the sharks.

I love the water parks! We just dont go to them every trip, and we only go when we stay for 6 or 7 days. I've gone there ever since I was a little kid and always have had a great time.

I don't care for the waterparks but I don't really like getting wet in the first place.
I really like the wavepool at typhoon lagoon but that's all I did last trip.
And the bottom of the pool is really sharp so I scraped a lot of skin off the top of my foot when a wave came and I hit the bottom.
And if there's a whole bunch of people, it can get dangerous. You start flying everywhere and I accidently kicked someone...

They just replaced the wave pool. Im not sure how the bottom is now, but its brand new.

OMG you really really should go to at least ONE waterpark
If you had to choose only one I would say Blizzard Beach for sure!
Summit Plummit is the best!
They have really cool mat slides as well as tube slides!
and the family tube ride is really long and fun!
oh and the lazy river is sweet too!

Definately a MUST DO!

I love the waterparks! I've loved them ever since I first went to one of them when I was 12. My favorite is Blizzard Beach, just because I feel like there are more slides for older kids there. But the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon is really sweet. And swimming with the sharks is awesome, but freezing!

I highly recommend you visit at least one of them. :goodvibes

I was wondering the same thing. I'll be there in March and cant decide if I should go to one or not. I'll be 15 and my friend will be 17, which one should we go to if we decide to go?

I'm not much a fan of water parks in general (something about a bunch of wet, sunscreen covered bodies being crammed into the same body of water. :headache: ), but the Disney ones are ok.

I like the lazy river at Blizzard Beach. I could float around in that thing for hours and be perfectly content. But seriously, if you like thrills then you need to go. I never went on it, but I was going up the line to go to on the family raft ride thing and saw this person go down SP and it looked FREAKISH. All you could really see as the people passed you was this splash of water, because they were moving so fast down the thing.

That ride is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. :scared1:

I disagree; water parks at Disney are most ideal if your between the ages of 12+! Typhoon lagoon has a more laidback atmosphere, whilst Blizzard Beach is more fast paced.

There is tonnes to do there, and it is very relaxing. My only advice would be not to sit around the wave pool, as those areas are way over crowded. There are better areas to sit and set up 'base camp' all around the parks.

I'd suggest you try one. I love them..

They Are Defintley (SP) Worth Going to !

The One That Is My Favorite Is Blizzard Beach! They Just Had So Much To Chose!

But Typhoon Lagoon Just I Wasn't That Into.

But I do Suggest To Go To The Water Parks If You Love Going To Water Parks Localy (sp).

I'm not much of a water park person, but I personally LOVED Blizzard Beach.

i've never been to blizzard beach but it sounds awesome

i went to typhoon lagoon a few years ago and i loved the wave pool, its so intense i ran into some lady's thigh and smacked my head on stuff but it was sooooooo fun.

you should deff go to one of them!!
