Any word on if the TS kids meals will change also to exclude the appetizer?

I could not find the answer in searching the threads - as DS is a big eater, having the extra salad or fruit worked well for us.

TIA for any info.

I've heard that the children's appetizer is necessary under Disney's new healthy eating push. They need that appetizer to get in food from all the food groups to make the children's meals balanced.

Also remember that many of the children's meals come out all on one plate, so they're not actually getting a separate "appetizer" before their meal, nor do they get a separate "dessert" after. The appetizer is in one ear of the Mickey plate; the dessert in the other.

Not always, at both Narcoossee's and Coral Reef the dessert was completely separate. At Narcoossee's the ears were two small bowls that contained marinara and cheese to go with the Mickey pasta. At Coral Reef the make your own sundae was a container unto itself served after his pizza. Also his apples were brought out separately w/our appetizers. He ate the best at Coral Reef. Ate the apple slices w/o the added sugar and he never has a problem eating pizza! He actually kind of picked over the sundae. :confused3

What About Le Cellier? My daughter loves soups. Would she be able to get the cheddar soup? Or will we need to buy it separately.

It depends on if they change the menu. As it is right now they still will. I wonder if the preplated meals will stay the same (since they are served all at once anyway) and the app will eventually be left off the pick one. It would seem silly to make the whole table wait for a kid to be served an app and takes away the faster table turning. The only reason why I could see the separate kids app staying was if they think it would drive parents to pay for an app too? I'm betting on a revised kid menu in 2008 though probably right before we visit mid-Jan to be nice and confusing :confused3
