I will be going a solo trip in February.
I am very fearful of sleeping alone in a room with outdoor corridors.

I thought that may be the business class section would have inside corridors.
TIA

I do not know about the business class section. We had a standard room at CSR. Outside, not inside. I felt safe walking back and forth from the Pepper Market at night to our room however.

No, no inside corridors. I have taken a solo trip to WDW, and even as a nervous nellie, I never felt anything but safe. You can always buy a small door alarm if that would help you feel calmer.

We were in the Preferred section and no interior corridors. I think the only value or moderate that has interior hallways are the buildings with the family suites at Art of Animation (The Little Mermaid rooms have exterior hallways). If interior corridors are a must Have you considered the Swan or Dolphin (or a deluxe resort)?

All rooms at Coronado Springs are the same and have exterior corridors. If you want interior corridors you'll have to book Deluxe or the Swolphin. I've stayed solo at Pop and felt totally safe but if you're already nervous about it you might want to consider re-booking for somewhere else. For a comparable rate does the Hilton at Disney Springs still offer EMH?

No the Hilton no longer gets EMH.

Hi, OP - I totally get where you're coming from. For my first solo trip, I splurged on the Beach Club because of the interior corridors issue. When I decided to make annual solo trips, I needed to cut $$ so tried POFQ (exterior corridors). I was uneasy about it before I went - but once I got there, I fell in love with POFQ!!! I have stayed alone at POFQ 4 times and always felt comfortable.

Where the concerns about inside/outside corridors come from is the "non-WDW" world, where lodgings with outdoor corridors are cheap motels on the highway where anyone driving by can pull into the parking lot and bang on your door. You will be at a Disney Resort, which is a much different environment. Use your common sense safety precautions, but tons of WDW solos stay at all the WDW mod and value resorts safely and comfortably.

I may be in the minority, but I feel more comfortable walking to my room at POFQ, where I can see my building/ corridor / door well before I get there and there are plenty of people within sight/earshot, than walking alone through a long, winding interior corridor with no one else visible.

If I did stay at CSR, I would book a preferred room to be closer to the main building. If you haven't considered POFQ, I highly recommend it.

I will not stay at Swan / Dolphin because I love Magical Express to/from the airport.

I agree that the moderators are well lit, but that if you are solo, you should consider preferred. POFQ is so small there is no preferred buildings but if you choose a bldg close to the bus stop you will be fine.

At CSR I would book business class. I am an early riser and often was up before the sun. I always felt safe walking alone.

At POFQ we had a corner King room in Building 4 second floor (which i think is considered Garden View) within spitting distance of the lobby/food court and the bus stop just outside of the lobby. I probably also would choose POFQ if traveling alone due to its size.

I've stayed at POP and POFQ with just DD (at age 4 and 5). I was a bit nervous when planning, but after we got there I was fine. I agree with PP that you can get a door alarm if you want or even just pull a chair in front of the door. I also always double check to make sure the door locks behind me when I leave the room.

I've stayed solo at POFQ and All Star Sports and felt very safe. I'm someone who sometimes feels that inside corridor rooms can be just as unsafe as outside corridors. Even with key access only I've seen people allow others following them to enter without a key at several different hotels. At least having outside corridors lets me see more around me.

Thanks for all the ideas.
I am going to a conference at the Contemporary and the rate is $319 a night.
Does this seem like a good price for February?
