Are the renovations at the Comtemporary complete?

We haven't stayed there for years, opting for AKL since it opened, but we're thinking about booking a room at the Contemporary for the weekend of Oct. 27-Oct. 30 (Oct. 27th MNSSHP ). I was wondering if they have completely finished renovating the resort rooms yet? If not, we're going to one of the other deluxes...

I'd say go to another resort. They are still giving people the old non renovated rooms in the North Garden Wing. We had family staying there last week and hated it. The un-renovated rooms are really bad compared to AKL.

I got an e-mail from a Concierge that told me that after October 1, there will be no guests in the north wing. I would feel perfectly comfortable booking a room there. Some people have claimed that the CR is only using the north wing for overflow right now.

I was just at the Contemporary & here is what I can tell you about the renovation. There is nothing going on right now on the 4th floor, all that stuff they were doing around the shops has been completed. The Concourse Steakhouse, Food & Fun Center & the arcade won't be moving until 2007 (not sure when) so until that happens there is no renovation to be done on the 4th floor. They were working on the 2nd floor & I think that has been completed, because some people have said the California Grill check in is back down there. The only floor that is being renovated right now is the 14th floor Tower Club Suite floor & as of October 1st, the North Garden rooms will be closed & eventually torn down to make room for the new DVC building.
