Are the passes really discounted - Summer Offer? Versus Undercover Tourist?

Perhaps it is just something I am missing.

So if I book AKL room only, rate for 5 nights is $1311.25 with 30% off...yah!

Booking same room with 5 day MYW tix (2A 1C) with PH'ing and total is $2292.77 or the passes work out to $981.52.

If I go to Undercover Tourist, 2A, 1C 4 day with bonus day PH tix are $961.85.

Now I know that the 981 is discounted from the regular rate but when I compare with UT, they are more?

Am i missing something>

I know that when I just did the math comparing trips either with the discounted Disney tix or with just room only and UT tix, the room only and UT tix ended up being slightly cheaper...about $10.

Same results here. The tickets from WDW ere discounted - but still cost more than UT.

Disney is adding a discount to the tickets in the summer packages, but you really need to get out the calculator and spreadsheet to be sure their discount is a better deal than Undercover Tourist. It probably depends on the number of days, adding hopping, etc. In my case, Disney's discount saved me about $20 total over UT for what I was buying for tickets. Small difference, but I'll take it.

5 day MYW tix through orbitz will save you $25. Go through ebates first and save another $12.50. Wait for ebates to offer 10.5% back and you will save a total of $50 on each ticket.
