I read that SeaWorld was opening (in May) 3 new childrens rides.

Have they opened them yet? And if so, would you mind telling me about them?
Thank you

Not open yet. They still have the fence up. I saw the coaster when I was up in the Sky Tower on 5/10.

so I take it that the Sky Tower's open again? It wasn't open last year on 6/26 and 6/28. Did they get done with whatever they closed it for? Will it close again once Mistify opens again?

I know the trains have been on the coaster's track for testing, and the teacups ride has been in place for a couple of weeks now. they're making good progress.

the skytower's operating schedule is unfortunately left to the weather. they won't send it up when it's windy or storms in the area.

I have heard that people have rode the Shamu Express, but I don't know if it is officially open.

The Shamu Express looks scarier than Kraken!!!

The height requirement for the Shamu Express will probably be the same as it is for its brother in Sea World San Antonio.

Here's what is says from the Sea World San Antonio web site:

Height Requirement: A parent must accompany children smaller than 41 inches. Children must be at least 38 inches to ride.

The new rides for kids are indeed open. I'm not so sure the roller coaster is appropriate for all kids though, maybe just the braver ones :)

It's really that bad? My 3yo daughter loves The Flying Unicorn. I only know that it's shorter than that. I guess I'll be checking it out later today. Weeee.

there were atleast 2 rides open when we were there last week.

the shamu express and the jazzy jellies.

it was already pretty crowded, people were really lining up to get into the attractions.

I have a link to a couple of photos I took of the rides.
here it is:

if you go to the fotki website ,then find a member named patkitten2.
then you can see the pictures under seaworld happy harbor.
there are a bunch of Believe pictures there as well. have fun!!

greetings Pat

We did the Shamu coaster and it was more jerky than Goofy's Barnstormer at Disney. I had to put my arm around DS3 because his head did jerk around. The ride is over pretty fast though. The kids loved the ride and we even purchased the photo.

I went to Sea World last Sunday (and today in fact) and the ride was open. They were VERY SLOW in loading/unloading however. Hopefully they will get it down to a reasonable time soon.

Saw the Pets Ahoy show today - fabulous! So cute and fun for everyone!
LAst weekend I saw all the other shows. All of them were great. And today a fun surprise was seeing the Sea Lions getting fed at the Pacific preserve are. What a blast that was! The new baby sea lions are adorable too!

Have fun everyone. PM me if you have any questions. I live here and frequent all the WDW parks ('cause I work there pt, and I have SeaWorld passes.)

I'd agree with the slow loading comment. And only 1 train on the track. Plus the thing is HUGE. It's like 15 cars long. Not a place I want to hang out if it gets too crowded. The other 2 rides will not hold 2 adults in the buckets with a child. I'm 5'9" 160lbs and I had to squeeze in to them with my daughter.

Here is a pic. It is a small coaster like Goofy's Barnstormer but it does whip you around quite a bit.
