Are taxis waiting outside most Disney hotels or do they have to be called? Do they usually come quickly if called?

If we only have to travel 2 miles (across Disney property), will they be mad? About how much do they cost?

All help is greatly appreciated!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I agree with the previous post. All Disney resorts have taxis normally waiting outside the main entrance. You will see a Cast Member at a podium and he/she will direct you to the next taxi. If one is not available they will call and get you one fast. These taxis ususally stay all day on Disney property to take people between various areas of WDW. They will also take you anywhere off property you want to go. Most of the travel costs within WDW are like $10-$20 depending on where you are going and the traffic. They are used to making small trips so no trip is really too small for them. I think it's pretty smart of these taxis to make WDW their "home". Probably get a lot of business from guests.

At least all deluxes have them waiting for the extra bucks :)

Taxi's usually queue up by the Porte Cochere area at all Values, Moderates and Deluxes. If they have to call for a taxi, make sure the CM doesn't tell them where you are going. Some times, if a taxi driver knows it's a small fare, they might not come, so that they can wait for a larger fare like an airport run.
