Are some Meet n Greets suspended during parade times?

ie if Ariel is in a parade, does she take a break temporarily from her Meet and Greet?

(I'm guessing the answer is 'No')

If so, seems like a waste of personnel to have a CM put on Ariel costume and makeup for such a short time, when one is already made up for the MnG.

The basic rule is that if you can see 2 of the same character at the same time they have to suspend the M&G, but that is usually only line of site (they talk about that extensively in the keys to the kingdom tour).

That said, there is usually two of each highly circulated character ready to go at any given time. Ever notice how often characters take "potty breaks". That is so they can go backstage and switch out. You can really see it at parties where the characters are out and visible for the entire party.
