Are Sleeper Sofas Comfortable for Adults??

We currently have a 2 bedroom booked at OKW for October 25-29 and our adult DS and his DW will be joining us. I would really like to stay at BCV, BWV or BLT but can't do anything until Friday (waitlist here I come). With 4 adults, I really want 2 bathrooms but if we could manage (I am the eternal optimist) to get BLT, I would just go with a one bedroom but then I worry about how comfortable that sleeper sofa is?? They could even utilize the sleeper chair if needed. I slept on the sofa at SSR (trying to get as far away for a snoring DH as possible) and it was truely awful. I don't want that for them. Any adults out there tried it?? After a log day in the park - a good nights sleep is important.

Some people find sleeping on sleep sofas comfortable, and some do not (as you did not, for example). It is very individual. I would guess that two adults would not be so comfortable on a sleep sofa together, but again that may or may not be the case. I think you will have to rely on your son and his wife, ask them in advance if they are willing to go for it. Good luck!

Thanks Carol! The 'matress' was only a few inches think on the bed at SSR, I would have been better off not opening the bed. I think I will just stick with the 2 bedroom plan - finding out after we arrive will be too late to do anything about it.

My adult DS has slept on the ones at BCV and said it was not a great experience.

A friend of mine slept on the sleeper in AKV studio a few weeks ago and said it was very comfortable.

I slept on one @ BWV for 6 nights last month. It was very uncomfortable.

I spent a night on the sleeper in an AKV-Jambo studio last December. It was pretty comfy. Better then any other sleeper I've slept on.

I slept on an AKV Jambo House sleeper in a studio this December; went with a friend and didn't relish the thought of sharing a bed with her. ;) It wasn't miserable, but the mattress was a little hard for me. I asked housekeeping about getting an 'egg crate' foam piece. They couldn't have been nicer about it and brought one up to me - it did help somewhat and I slept decently. BUT, I definitely prefer the regular bed. :thumbsup2

I bet it depends on the resort. We had some friends stay with us at VGC and they said that the sleeper sofa was very comfortable. Of course VGC is newer than OKW, but BLT is newer than VGC.

I appreciate all the comments. I will just hope I can get a 2 bedroom and not have to be tempted to put them on the couch. Or we will stay where we are.

My DD and SIL have slept on the pull out at OKW, BCV, BWV, and BLT. They have never complained or ever mentioned it was uncomfortable. Maybe they figured it wouldn't make any difference. As they always say, for a the price they are paying to stay with us in our resort, they would sleep on the floor if they had to -- and that's with their 2 year old sleeping between them...:scared1:
