Are sales better before or after Christmas?

We celebrated Christmas early this year and I have some Christmas money I'd like to use on clothes. Any ideas if sales at the mall will be better now or after Christmas? One of my gift cards is to Sears, the other can be used at the whole mall.

My sister usually comes to visit after christmas to go shopping- my neice and nephew come with gift cards in hand and find some GREAT deals on clothing...Many stores start the "year end clearance" after christmas to entice people to come and spend the gift cards...
