Are Roo and Lumpy in the parks anywhere?

no, licensing has little to do with property rights. heck, disney doesn't own the pooh characters (although lumpy and gopher are their 'creations'). i can virtually guarantee you disney would not sign away anything they own.

this is the oldest pic i personally have, from MNSSH 05, no Owl. So if he was out, it was before then

see link i posted earlier in response to the first time it was asked.

I clicked on the link. All it told me was that Lumpy in a character in Pooh's Heffalump Movie, voiced by Kyle Stranger.

I know, I could google it if I really cared, but I expected the people posting in this thread had enough interest in this 'Lumpy' that they'd take a moment to explain him.

He is a little purple Heffalump (or elephant) He is really cute.

I do not know how to make it bigger, just click on it and you will get a bigger picture. This is a stage show...

Owl was out long before that. More like late 1980s, early 1990s. The last time I saw him out as in a parade from 1991.

The pics that Shubunk posted are from the Disney Live Pooh show that's travelling throughout the world now, not from the theme parks. The Theme Park Owl looked much different. I actually think the Owl in those pics looks a lot better than the one I saw. :thumbsup2

I enjoyed looking at the pics!

I haven't seen Roo or Lumpy in the parks, but it would be awesome if they were. Lumpy is sooo cute!

I don't even really consider lumpy a pooh character. He just doesn't fit. and enough with all the stupid pooh follow ups. leave the classics alone.

Well, for my son, age 4 - his very first movie in a theater was The Heffalump Movie - so for him, and MANY other kids his age, Lumpy is a main Pooh character - I mean, Lumpy and Roo were the main characters! There is also a Heffalump Halloween DVD. Actually, it is confusing, b/c when he watches the older Winnie The Pooh videos, etc - the Heffalumps are portrayed as scary, they are in dream sequences, etc. The Heffalump Movie "disproved" that - showed they had nothing to be scared of, so it is confusing to the little ones.
All I know is they love Roo and Lumpy, but they will be just fine without! Piglet is another favorite, so hopefully we'll see him at our CP dinner!

on the tangent...

i'm not against new pooh. i just think the heffalump movie was the punch line of a joke that never needed to be revealed.

for one, i was never even sure that they even existed. i used to just simply say they were the scariest things i never did see.

plus lumpy looks like an elephant to me.

A always thought that that was just the hundered acre woods way of saying Elephants and weezles. Kinda like they just misheard Christoper Robin one time or something. If you look at the old heffalumps and woozles sceen you see a bunch of weezle and elephant looking things during it. I don't know if any of this is correct that is just what I always thought they were.

well, definitely doesn't seem like a miscommunication. if you read that small chapter in the link i posted, it starts off with Christopher Robin announcing he had seen a heffalump.

now if christopher robin had an improper name for it, that's a different story. but the thing is, this is something they feared (pooh mostly because heffalumps would often try to steal his hunny in his dreams) and piglet who'd be afraid of his own shadow, despite never having actually ever seen one. they let their imaginations get the worst of them.

it's a bogeyman under the bed.

IF they ever had ROO KANGA or OWL out we would definately go to CP. Its always the same characters, why not mix them so on say Saturdays other Pooh friends could be out, then we could book an ADR to meet new characters... .cant be that hard to do !!!

My Daughter would be thrilled to meet LUMPY! :thumbsup2

Lumpy has become a HUGE favorite in my house, he is loved by all of us .even me and Hubby....He's a Little adorable british heffalump who befriends Roo when Roo is trying to capture him and they become best friends....it truley is a wonderful movie with a great soundtrack, it never leaves my car....lol...they even made a Heffalomp Halloween movie too...I really would love it of they added him in the futre to anything, a parade or Pooh's thoughtful spot or anywhere....I dont know how to expalin it to my almost 3 year dd that Lumpy doesnt live here but Pooh does,lol...

Heffalums and woozles were supposed to be pooh and the gangs mixed up interpretation of elephants and weezles
