Are Roo and Lumpy in the parks anywhere?

Just wondering! My kids love Winnie-the-Pooh and these are their favorites. We have a dinner ADR at Crystal Palace, but it doesn't look like they are there. Anywhere else to try?

Thanks

lumpy, no. never that i know of.

roo is with kanga in parades. i know they're in the MNSSH boo to you parade. not 100% on the daily, i almost think not (christopher robin also appears in the MNSSN parade). someone will either verify or i'll check photos later.

Unfortunately they do not come out anywhere whatsoever.

Roo and Lumpy don't do any meet-and-greets in the parks. Roo is in Kanga's pocket when she appears in parades, most recently the Boo To You Parade at MNSSHP and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade. I've read online about Kanga making very rare appearences at Crystal Palace as a substitute character if one of the regulars can't make it, but since I've never seen any photos of her there, I'm not sure if she actually has or if this is just wishful thinking, let alone if Roo has been in her pocket during these appearences. Chances are better if there's a substitute character, it will be Rabbit.

oh.. right.. MVMCP, sorry, forgot that one (i KNEW there was another parade).. here's the pooh crew from last year

i absolutely don't buy kanga showing up for CP (i'd have to see pictures and i'm not even sure I'd believe it). she's.. umm... big (sorry, kanga) and may be a bit awkward in tight spaces. plus, roo's lack of enthusiasm might come into question. plus the rabbit argument is way strong. is he that rare that they wouldn't even use him in desperate times?

Thanks for all the quick replies! We won't be there during any holiday periods (we're going 4/28-5/4), so I'll just "prepare" the kids that they won't see them - if they ask!

Thank you!

kanga only appears as a last minute resort at Crystal Palace.

They first try to put Rabbit out . But Rabbit can not go to table to table which is why they don't like to use him. he has to big of feet. if they can't find RAbbit. they put kanga out. but it's very very rare. i've only heard it happen twice. she has a huge tail and big feet too. so she stands out front. and gets mobbed.

When you think about it Roo couldn't appear on his own, cos for the scale against the other characters to look right, you'd need a 3 year old in the outfit...:rotfl:

On a similair theme, has anyone ever seen Owl out and about?

big no there as well. i don't even think he's in the parades.

the only ones you'll regularly see out are Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger. in addition to Crystal Palace (where Piglet also usually appears), they're also usually available in the UK at the back of the Toy Soldier, character landing at DAK and by the hat in MGM. Piglet also comes out for MK parties. Rabbit is even more rare than Piglet.

see link i posted earlier in response to the first time it was asked.

You sure do know your character stuff, Meeko. :thumbsup2 Good to see you.

Owl did use to make parade appearences. I know I saw him with Kanga on the same Pooh float that bradk posted a picture of. He was where Rabbit now stands. He didn't look a whole lot like the Owl in the cartoons and even wore a graduation cap. I don't think I have a photo of him anywhere, but I can double check.

Thanks Dan. Good to see you too.

The Disney Store has all rights to Lumpy merchandise. You will not find any Lumpy merchandise at WDW. I don't know if that would prevent them from having Lumpy actually appear in the parks, but I've never seen him.
