A friend of mine is going to Star Wars weekend and asked what came with the Galactic breakfast? I gave a call to find out because I was curious given the cost. I assumed that they took a picture of guests with a Star Wars character and gave them the picture just as they do at CRT and Akershus...especially since it was 2 sit- down meal credits.

The CM on the phone immediately said yes it comes with a picture. Then I said well, it did not say that but I figured it did. Then she said how strange that is because she saw no mention of the picture and she knew that last year it specifically said it came with a picture.

She kept saying that it s a very good question and said she was going to speak with a supervisor. She told me the supervisor was not sure either but thought since it said nothing anywhere regarding a free picture in all the many places she checked they would have to say the breakfast no longer came with a photo.

When I told her that I know CRT gives a photo she informed me they no longer give a photo with the CRT meal. 2 years ago we went and we did get the photo so I guess if she is correct they stopped that? Can anyone confirm that they no longer offer the photo with CRT meals? For that matter I am wondering if they did away with it at Akershus recently. As of this past November Akershus did give a photo.

Any information regarding the photo gifts with these restaurants would be appreciated. Especially any information on the Galactic Breakfast. That is too bad they are taking the photos away given they are not decreases the prices. It definitely figured into my decision to go and spend the money on those special meals because it was that little something extra that was nice. Unless the CM was just not giving me the correct information.

They no longer give a printed picture, but they do take a photo and load it to the photo pass site. We had Memory Maker so I'm not sure if that one photo is free or if they charge if you want to download it.

Thanks for the info. I am sorry they have stopped the photos. I thought that was a nice plus.

I don't have a link I can post with definite confirmation of this, but I believe all of the restaurant photo packages have been discontinued, and are only included with the purchase of Memory Maker, unless you want to pay the individual download fee.

Thanks, I am so surprised that both the CM I spoke to on the phone and the supervisor were not aware of this change and were at a loss earlier this evening when I asked the question. That is so strange. Well, I guess it is a way for Disney to create another incentive to purchase memory maker.

How much is the individual download fee per picture? We are only going to be there for two days so don't think memory maker is worth it but have 2 star wars meals planned!

Downloads a la carte at $15 each. At outside photographers, I know you can ask them to use your camera for you, I'm not sure whether you can do this at the character meal posed shot.

At Akershus on Jan 31 the photographer took a group shot with my phone for us. Unfortunately, they were a bit fuzzy and not print-worthy. Not sure if they would use a 'real' camera, but considering many phone cameras take excellent pictures now, it's at least an option (assuming it's in focus).

Last year at the SWM they gave a special photopass card that you could download the pic for free.

Oh that is interesting perhaps they will do that again this year at the Star wars galactic breakfast? I guess I completely missed the discussion of Disney discontinuing the pictures at these restaurants..it was news to me.

I don't suppose the PRICE is any cheaper.

Not that I noticed. Seems like they just took something away but kept the price the same. This seems to be a trend. I have not noticed them add to anything without a charge just quietly take away things. So quiet that even the CM's on the phone are not aware apparently.

I'll try to search the restaurants boards, but I *think* the situation was that meals like CRT or Akershus where they used to include photo prints in a cardboard folio would still include the picture for "free" download (included in meal price) and they just wouldn't give physical prints anymore. Not sure how this affects special event meals like SWW, and I'm not certain about the download of the picture since I had Memory Maker and got all my downloads included in that already.

Looks like I remembered wrong. Anything I could find on the restaurants board seemed to indicate that hard photos are no longer offered and you only get the downloads if you've purchased Memory Maker or purchase the download a la carte. That really stinks! I could see cutting costs by elminating the photo and cardboard folio, but with keeping the meal price constant and not giving the download free, that's just a cheap-o move :(

We ate at CRT this past December and got the photo in the cardboard folio. Have they changed it since then?

I agree. Also I just can not understand the CM and supervisor having no knowledge of this change. I thought it was really nice to get that 8 by 10 while you were sitting there eating your meal. I imagine it is a lot easier on them to to do away with it, but it was one of those perks that helped you to justify the price of these meals.

This is what I have been told by a CM in Dining reservations. I was just trying to out about if a photo came with the Star Wars Galactic breakfast given it was two sit-down credits. She answered she was unsure because she knew for certain the gave it to people last year. She told me she knows for certain they stopped doing the photo in the folio at CRT. I asked when? She said recently. Perhaps it went into effect with the new year.

If you notice they do not mention photos anymore on the restaurant description. I agree with another poster..very cheap move.

1) No photos unless you purchased the photo package.
2) They are trying to force folks into the purchase.
3) Plus, no photo people INSIDE the meals.

Not unusual unfortunately. I believe almost nothing I'm told by a phone CM unless I've verified it with someone (or more than one someone) that's been recently and reported it is as I was told. They are not kept informed of changes, apparently, and often either don't have the answers or are flat-out wrong.

Yes it has been confirmed neither princess meal includes the photo anymore. As for the free digital download, I don't know but I doubt it. It's certainly not listed in the restaurant description.
